Descubre un reencuentro lleno de emociones en un rincón escondido!
Hoy me puse creativa y realicé una ilustración inspirada en el tema "jardín", propuesto en el grupo de parejas de personajes de anime y videojuegos. Después de darle vueltas al concepto, se me ocurrió que podía envolver a Pete, Ylia y, en especial, al hermano menor de Pete, Tom.
La historia de Pete y Tom es complicada: tras la tragedia que se llevó a sus padres, la relación de los dos cambió por completo. Pete, siempre en medio de combates como capitán del Gran Dragón del Espacio en Japón, se volvió distante y decidió enviar a Tom a una escuela en América para protegerlo del peligro que lo rodeaba.
En una ocasión, Tom se escapó de la escuela para ir en busca de su hermano, encontrándose con ese Pete frío y distante de siempre. Analizando a Pete, uno podría pensar que su distancia es, en parte, una manera de cuidar a Tom, sabiendo que estar cerca podría ponerlo en riesgo.
Así que se me ocurrió esta escena: Tom regresa a Japón, y esta vez Ylia lo recibe con calidez y lo invita a pasar un buen rato, a pesar de que Pete sigue observándolos desde lejos, sin decidir si acercarse o seguir en su aislamiento. Todo sucede en el pequeño jardín del Faro de Saratoga, donde se oculta la base del Gran Dragón del espacio.
En esta ocasión, le di más protagonismo al fondo que a los personajes, para reforzar el tema. La base está cerca de la playa y, con pocas áreas verdes y predominio de arena, se refleja el ambiente de soledad y desolación que envuelve a estos personajes.

Discover a heartfelt reunion in a hidden corner!
Today, I got creative and worked on an illustration inspired by the theme "garden," proposed in our anime and video game couples group. After tossing around some ideas, I came up with a concept that involves Pete, Ylia, and especially Pete’s little brother, Tom.
Pete and Tom’s story isn’t simple: after the tragedy that took their parents, everything changed. Pete, constantly caught up in battles as the captain of the Great Space Dragon in Japan, became distant and eventually sent Tom to a school in America to keep him safe from the dangers around him.
Once, Tom even escaped from school to find his brother, only to encounter the same cold and distant Pete he always knew. If you take a closer look at Pete, you might see that his distance is partly his way of protecting Tom, knowing that being too close could put him in harm's way.
So, here’s the scene: Tom returns to Japan, and this time, Ylia meets him with warmth and invites him to have a good time—even though Pete watches from afar, still unsure whether to join in or stick to his isolation. All of this unfolds in the small garden by the Saratoga Lighthouse, where the base of the Great Space Dragon is hidden.
This time around, I gave more prominence to the background rather than the characters to really drive home the theme. The base is close to the beach, with just a few green areas and mostly sand, mirroring the loneliness and desolation that envelop these characters.
