The Legacy of ARCHON

in Synergy Builders9 hours ago (edited)

I don't understand exactly which parts of my message are getting picked up or not, but there is one point I decided that is worth my time to make abundantly clear - especially as we are getting excited about a new cycle.

NOBODY WORKS FOR FREE

You can work for money; and when the money runs out?
You can work for fun; and when it becomes a chore?
You can work for passion; and when the passion runs out?
You can work for learning; and when the curriculum is mastered?
You can work for love; and when your heart turns embittered?

What happens then?

What is a "real builder"?

A "real builder" is someone who is working to "add value". Some of these concepts require you to think. The "can't devs do something" fellow is not as valuable as the holder who searches out a solution for a project founder, and all three could be builders.

As someone who has worked for "sustainable growth" for years now, I need to make sure the lesson of ARCHON is clear to all, on HIVE and off of it. Even maybe especially those of us that seek to replicate such "successes" as recent "memecoins" have achieved. Necromancy is possible, but death is not required.

FREE WORK DOESN'T WORK

That is all.

Freedom and Friendship

I don'tknow the story of ARCHON.
Did it rely on "free" work?
Of course, work is never free, someone is giving time and energy.
I've been involved in three communities on Hive. All of them gave some recompense, however small, to the people that were building them.

I appreciate this, I will enrich the post with some backlinks for context.

I've been there for money
I've been there for fun
I've been there for passion
I've failed to learn
I've got love for it
I'm not going to give up
