Oh man, of course you mention a few people I totally forgot (as usually happens with each topic). Dolores should have featured in mine somewhere as I adored The Cranberries growing up. So many great acts I would have loved to see live. Especially back when concert tickets were at least somewhat reasonable, haha.
Freddie is another one I totally missed when talking about the influence of my parents' tastes. Queen was another one we always listened to, and my mother was so proud when my older sister was the only one in her class who knew who he was when her teacher shared the news of his passing. Straight up legend. I would be willing to bet he'll be on a few entry lists.
Amy Lee is quite fantastic, as well. She's got some pipes on her, and I love that first choice of song you shared. I'll have to check out their latest. I kick myself for not having seen the Foo Fighters yet, either. Anyone I know of who has seen them live has said they put on a killer show. I'm going to be spending all my pennies on concert tickets once touring finally starts back up safely...
Dolores was really great when I saw her. An ickle girl with a huge voice. It was a nice bonus that they were supporting REM.
Live Aid and especially Queen and Freddie had a massive influence on me. It was such a big event here and over your neck of the woods. Do you remember that Phil Collins sang at Wembley and then flew to Philly by Concord and sung there. Unheard of back then baring in mind that they couldn't even phone transatlantic with manual assistance.
Amy Lee is awesome. Beautiful and extremely talented. I missed their last gig in Bucharest but I will make sure I am at the next one.
The Foo Fighters do put on a great show. No bells and whistles, just in the guise of pure music and good crowd interaction. I love seeing them and will again soon. It's usually something I do with my brother as well, so that's extra cool.
