Hey everyone! It’s Q here, the mascot for the Your Top 3 Monthly Contest! Doesn’t time fly? Can you believe it’s been nearly a week since I launched our topic for this month? Well, have no fear as I just want to give you all a friendly reminder to get your entries in before the deadline!!

You’ve got until the 9th to share with us your favorite Halloween themed (scary or friendly) movies! Make sure to check out the original contest post for more information! By entering the contest, you are automatically enrolled into the leagues where there’s even more prizes up for grabs!

How To Enter This Spooky Contest

1 - Create a blog post with your top 3 nominations along with your reasoning behind them. Entry posts must have a minimum of 250 words total. You must use the #yourtop3 tag in the first five tags.

2 - Put a link to your blog in the comments section below.

3 - Set your post payout to 50/50. You keep the HP and then transfer the HIVE and/or HBD (whichever is paid out at the time) to @yourtop3 with a link to your blog post entry in the transfer memo. This is the minimum entry fee, but you can add as much as you like to it! The more you add, the more you can win. There is no maximum entry fee.

The deadline for submitting your entry is the 9th.
The deadline for sending entry fees is the 19th.

You are welcome to create your own post but for ease of use and your convenience I have created two different templates. The first one; a more complex version, contains some coding creating a nice table for you to edit. The second template; for those of you not familiar with coding, is a simpler version without the code

How detailed you want to go is up to you but I know you can do better than “because I like it” 😉

I think I'm going to be sitting this one out. Other than not really liking scary movies, my life of the last week was a scary movie all on it's own! But that's not a story for the blockchain let alone the competition!! lol

In other words, whoever has the most is the one who wins, no matter their nomination or their selected ones !!!

I apologise for the misunderstanding.

The amount you send to the prize pool does NOT determine if you will win or not.

The total prize pool is based on the sum of the entry fees and is split between the top 3 places - further breakdown can be found from our official document here.

As we say in the post:

This is the minimum entry fee, but you can add as much as you like to it! The more you add, the more you can win. There is no maximum entry fee.

So the minimum entry is required but if you really believed in your own nominations to win, then you might want to put more to the prize pool for a chance to win more assuming your nominations are voted on by the HIVE community and you finish in the Top 3 positions at the end of the month.
