The video, which went viral with more than 40,000 retweets and 500,000 likes, also reached the cryptocurrency community. A user named “Ice Bagz” took action at around 21:00 yesterday evening to find the contact details of the child.

What do they need over $800,000 USD for? They can't get the kid some Cannabis? Shit's definitely going for less than $800,000 a kilo. Just saying.

But, on a for real note, see this case study: https://www.karger.com/Article/Pdf/356446

Research into Cannabis being used as a treatment option rather than just as a last resort for palliative care is still underfunded due to the financial interests of the powers that be, but there are ample studies demonstrating the pro-apoptotic properties of Cannabis-based medicines with regards to various cancer cell types. (There are over 45,000 research papers on Cannabis and cannabinoids on PubMed from which to pull.) I hope the child's parents look into Cannabis as a treatment option.

Thank you for sharing this story - as an anecdote: @blackgold13 and I often joke about the several movies that have been produced centering around some character having a disease easily treatable with Cannabis. But, the Writers of the movie would never be able to include that in the script because then there'd be no drama and the movie would just end with the main character smoking a doobie into the sunset. :-D
