Muchas son las veces donde mi esposo y yo nos encontramos haciendo diligencias de nuestros trabajos y nos agarra la hora de comida en la calle. Para facilitar el trabajo y distribuir mejor nuestro tiempo en el día, decidimos comer en la calle, ya que muchas veces estamos lejos de nuestra casa con poco tiempo para almorzar y volver a las oficinas.

Entonces se nos hace más cómodo buscar opciones de buen precio y donde se pueda comer bien además de estar en un sitio agradable como solución a nuestros almuerzos de "diligencias".

Para estos momentos ya conocemos varios lugares donde comemos a buen precio, son sitios bonitos y además las opciones de comidas no son tan procesadas o chatarras, porque consideramos que a pesar de salir a comer de imprevisto nos gusta hacerlo en los mejores sitios posibles.
By now we already know several places where we eat at good prices, they are nice places and the food options are not so processed or junk, because we consider that despite going out to eat unexpectedly we like to do it in the best places possible.
Eso de comer solo por lo más barato y conformarnos donde sea no es una práctica que nos guste llevar. Tratamos de adaptar nuestro presupuesto a lugares donde la comida sea buena y el lugar agradable. Claro que de vez en cuando nos echamos alguna equivocada cuando experimentamos en nuevos lugares, pero afortunadamente no es algo que nos suceda con frecuencia.
Eating only for the cheapest and settling for whatever is available is not a practice we like to follow. We try to adapt our budget to places where the food is good and the place is nice. Of course, we do occasionally make a mistake when experimenting with new places, but fortunately it's not something that happens often.
En esta oportunidad paramos a comer en Arepa Candela, un restaurante característico en la ciudad por sus arepitas de cochino asado que son deliciosas y muy accesibles. Además es un lugar hermoso que hace que se convierta en la principal opción para quienes como nosotros ese día, están buscando una solución rápida, agradable y económica. De hecho cuando llegamos en pleno medio día el lugar estaba lleno de estudiantes y trabajadores de la zona por todas las virtudes ya antes mencionadas.
This time we stopped to eat at Arepa Candela, a characteristic restaurant in the city for its roast pork arepitas, which are delicious and very affordable. It is also a beautiful place that makes it the main option for those who, like us that day, are looking for a quick, pleasant and economical solution. In fact, when we arrived in the middle of the day, the place was full of students and workers from the area because of all the virtues mentioned above.
Nosotros pedimos 5 arepitas de chicharrón rellenas con cerdo asado 😍. Normalmente la arepa qué venden de 40gr de cochino es una arepita asada de maíz (tradicional) y cuesta $1, pero esta variación qué nosotros pedimos trae la masa, mezclada con trocitos de chicharrón, es frita y la ofrecen por $1,80 cada arepita de 40gr de proteína de cerdo. Por eso pedimos cinco, tres para mi esposo y dos para mí.
We ordered 5 arepitas de chicharrón filled with roast pork 😍. Normally the arepa they sell with 40g of pork is a roasted corn arepita (traditional) and costs $1, but this variation we ordered has the dough mixed with bits of chicharrón, it is fried and they offer it for $1.80 each arepita with 40g of pork protein. That's why we ordered five, three for my husband and two for me.
Además, te ofrecen una guasacaca y un picadillo de verduras que le queda perfecto a las arepitas. Y para darle un plus al sitio, la atención es super buena, ya que hasta te hacen el cobro directamente en la mesa sin necesidad de pasar por el ajetreo de la cantidad de personas que estaban en ese momento en el lugar.
In addition, they offer a guasacaca and a vegetable picadillo that is perfect with the arepitas. And to give the place a plus, the service is super good, as they even charge you directly at the table without having to go through the hustle and bustle of the number of people who were in the place at the time.
