Hoy les cuento sobre la celebración de cumpleaños número #60 de mi tío y padrino Carmelo Velásquez.
Hello friends!
Today I tell you about the 60th birthday celebration of my uncle and godfather Carmelo Velasquez.
Tío Carmelo es hermano de mi mamá, el único varón de 5 hermanos y por ende el consentido de todas las demás. Además es un tío maravilloso y yo tengo la dicha de que mis papás lo hayan elegido como mi padrino, papel que siempre ha desempeñado forma maravillosa. Yo cuento con él incondicionalmente.
Tio Carmelo is my mother's brother, the only boy out of 5 siblings and therefore the spoiled of all the others. He is also a wonderful uncle and I am fortunate that my parents have chosen him as my godfather, a role he has always played in a wonderful way. I count on him unconditionally.
Para celebrar su cumpleaños, mi tía Grisel, la mayor de los cinco, tuvo la idea de que le llegáramos de sorpresa a su casa con todo para disfrutar un rato con él. Ella llevó una deliciosa torta de zanahoria qué es una de las favoritas de tío Carmelo, además de una empanaditas de diversos sabores que estaban muy ricas.
To celebrate his birthday, my aunt Grisel, the oldest of the five of us, had the idea that we should surprise him at his house with everything to enjoy some time with him. She brought a delicious carrot cake which is one of Uncle Carmelo's favorites, as well as empanaditas of different flavors that were very tasty.
Por otro lado, mi mamá, preparó otra torta, una de frutas maceradas y unos enrollados de berenjena, rebosados y rellenos. Nosotros pusimos una botella para brindar y entre todos le preparamos un compartir para celebrar con él su día en familia.
On the other hand, my mom prepared another cake, one with macerated fruits and some eggplant rolls, overflowing and stuffed. We put a bottle to toast and together we prepared a sharing to celebrate his day with him as a family.
Tío no se esperaba nuestra visita en ese momento, pues el cumpleaños le cayó en día de semana y llegamos a las 2 de la tarde. Además su esposa Neida ni siquiera estaba en casa, ella llegó del trabajo también con nosotros a celebrar. Lo hicimos así porque mi tía Grisel y su familia están viviendo en una zona un poco alejada de la nuestra y para poder compartir todos juntos con él y que ellos se pudieran regresar temprano a su hogar, la celebración fue de día.
Tio was not expecting our visit at that time, since his birthday fell on a weekday and we arrived at 2:00 in the afternoon. Besides, his wife Neida was not even at home, she came home from work with us to celebrate. We did it this way because my aunt Grisel and her family are living in an area a little far from ours and to be able to share all together with him and that they could return home early, the celebration was during the day.
De los cinco hermanos solo tres viven en Venezuela actualmente, y gracias a Dios en este momento están los tres en la misma ciudad. Mis otras dos tías viven en otros países y mi abuela actualmente está de visita con una de ellas. Sin embargo, gracias a la maravillosa tecnología que hoy acorta distancias, mi tía Mabel y mi abuela nos acompañaron un rato por medio de una video llamada.
Of the five siblings only three currently live in Venezuela, and thank God at the moment all three are in the same city. My other two aunts live in other countries and my grandmother is currently visiting with one of them. However, thanks to the wonderful technology that today shortens distances, my aunt Mabel and my grandmother accompanied us for a while through a video call.
Gracias a Dios el objetivo se cumplió, le hicimos de su cumpleaños un rato especial a mi querido tío, brindamos por su vida y sus hermanas estuvieron con él consintiéndolo como él nos consiente a todos a su manera.
Thank God the goal was achieved, we made his birthday a special time for my dear uncle, we toasted to his life and his sisters were with him spoiling him as he spoils us all in his own way.
Disfrutó como a él le gusta, con la compañía y el amor de su familia. Un tío tan especial solo merece eso, que siempre podamos estar para él como él siempre está para nosotros sin excusas y sin pensarlo mucho ❤️
He enjoyed as he likes, with the company and love of his family. Such a special guy deserves only that, that we can always be there for him as he is always there for us without excuses and without thinking too much ❤️
Todos pusimos nuestro granito de arena para lograr este objetivo y es que solo hay que querer y hacer las cosas de corazón para lograr resultados tan bonitos como los de ese día ❤️
We all did our bit to achieve this goal, because you just have to want and do things from the heart to achieve results as beautiful as those of that day ❤️.
