Happy and blessed first Sunday of the year, my dear friends. I hope you are spending a few days of tranquility and family togetherness.
We started working this weekend, but last night we closed up store a little earlier than usual. Bogota is still lonely, and that gave us the perfect excuse to do something different at almost midnight. We decided to go to the McDonald's close to home, a little plan that sounded like a great adventure at that time of day.
We were not the only ones in this McDonald's, the place was full, there were many people as if it was seven o'clock at night. We were already going with the idea of trying the Piazza McFlurry which is simply irresistible. This is a creamy vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and the crunchy Piazza wafers, which for us will always be our beloved lollipops. My husband ordered an Affogato, this is a blend of McCafé Espresso with vanilla ice cream, also a delight.
Feliz y bendecido primer domingo del año, mis queridos amigos. Espero que estén pasando unos días de tranquilidad y unión familiar.
Nosotros comenzamos a trabajar este fin de semana, pero anoche cerramos el negocio un poco más temprano de lo habitual. Bogotá sigue solitaria, y eso nos dio la excusa perfecta para hacer algo diferente casi a la medianoche. Decidimos ir al McDonald's que está cerca de casa, un pequeño plan que sonaba como una gran aventura a esas horas del día.
No éramos los únicos en este McDonald's, el local estaba lleno, había muchas personas como si fueran las siete de la noche. Ya íbamos con la idea de probar los McFlurry de Piazza que son simplemente irresistibles. Este es un cremoso helado de vainilla, salsa de chocolate y los crujientes barquillos Piazza, que para nosotros siempre serán nuestros queridos pirulines. Mi esposo pidió un Affogato, este es una mezcla de McCafé Espresso con helado de vainilla, también una delicia.
My son-in-law placed the order through the app and we just had to wait for it to arrive at our table. In the meantime, we were chatting about the day and a little bit of everything.
Our ice cream and Affogato arrived and, of course, we couldn't miss the photos to preserve our midnight adventure in pictures. Sometimes it doesn't take much to create pleasant memories. A night out, a sweet craving and the best company are enough to make any night become a special moment to remember. It was a simple plan, but perfect to close our first workday of 2025.
Mi yerno hizo el pedido por la aplicación y sólo teníamos que esperar que llegara a nuestra mesa. Mientras tanto, estuvimos conversando sobre el día y de todo un poco.
Llegaron nuestros helados y el Affogato y, por supuesto, no podían faltar las fotos para conservar en imágenes nuestra aventura de medianoche. A veces, no se necesita mucho para crear recuerdos agradables. Una escapada nocturna, un dulce antojo y la mejor compañía son suficientes para hacer que una noche cualquiera se convierta en un momento especial para recordar. Fue un plan sencillo, pero perfecto para cerrar nuestra primera jornada de trabajo del 2025.
