Christmas time in La Rosaleda and happy Three Kings' Day 🎄 (EN-ES)

A beautiful time especially for children and, why not, for adults too. But it is the magic of the inner child that stands out the most.

Una época hermosa sobre todo para los niños y porque no, para los adultos también. Pero la magia del niño interior es la que más destaca.

Eventos que estaban fuera de mi voluntad, hicieron que no pudiera asistir a uno de los eventos más importantes del año, donde el protagonismo son los niños y con este evento me refiero a la famosa cabalgata de Reyes de la ciudad de Málaga.

Un espectáculo donde casi veinte carrozas artísticas y artesanales desfilan por las calles de la ciudad, con un sistema de iluminación que hace que los ojos se deleiten y el corazón se hinche de alegría. Niños y adultos disfrutan mucho de este evento, pero como les digo este año no pude asistir y pensé que esa magia de los niños no la vería y no la sentiría.

Pero la vida me demostró, una vez más, que esa magia está en todas partes y que si uno sabe verla la puede encontrar.

Me sentí un poco frustrada por no haber podido asistir, pero sabía que todos los niños de la ciudad lo habían disfrutado. La cabalgata se realiza siempre los días 5 de enero por la tarde, aproximadamente a las 18 hs. y en esta ocasión por motivos de clima se cambió el horario. En otras ciudades hasta se cambió de día.

Siempre les hablo de la importancia del niño interior y encontrar la luz que reside en él y como les comento la vida me llevo hasta un lugar donde pude ver esa luz nuevamente, porque se encuentra a cada paso, sólo hay que observar.

Events beyond my control meant that I was unable to attend one of the most important events of the year, where the children are the protagonists, and by this event I mean the famous Three Kings parade in the city of Malaga.

A spectacle where almost twenty artistic and handcrafted floats parade through the streets of the city, with a lighting system that makes the eyes delight and the heart swell with joy. Children and adults enjoy this event very much, but as I said, this year I could not attend and I thought that I would not see or feel the magic of the children.

But life showed me, once again, that magic is everywhere and that if you know how to see it, you can find it.

I was a little frustrated that I could not attend, but I knew that all the children in the city had enjoyed it. The parade always takes place on the evening of the 5th of January, at approximately 6 p.m. and on this occasion the time was changed due to the weather. In other cities it was even changed to a different day.

I always talk about the importance of the inner child and finding the light that resides in him and as I said, life took me to a place where I could see that light again, because you can find it at every step, you just have to observe.

El centro comerciar La Rosaleda, se viste sobriamente para la navidad cada año y me encanta ver las decoraciones que tienen preparadas para los visitantes. Es un centro comerciar con una arquitectura hermosa y singular, que por supuesto se aprecia mejor en horas del día. Pero en esta ocasión lo importante eran esas decoraciones y ellas se ven mucho mejor por la noche, precisamente por sus luces.

En su fachada exterior ya se ven las luces y el colorido como también un árbol navideño que han colocado en la entrada. Y a pesar de ser una hora avanzada en la noche aún estaba bastante concurrido de gente que buscaba a última hora regalos para los niños para este día especial.

The shopping centre La Rosaleda, dresses up soberly for Christmas every year and I love to see the decorations they have prepared for visitors. It is a shopping centre with beautiful and unique architecture, which of course is best appreciated during daylight hours. But on this occasion the important thing was the decorations and they look much better at night, precisely because of the lights.

On the exterior façade you can already see the lights and the colourful Christmas tree that has been placed at the entrance. And even though it was late at night it was still quite busy with people looking for last minute gifts for the children for this special day.

Al ingresar puedo ver las decoraciones en todos los pasillos por los que se accede a las distintas tiendas que a pesar de ser domingo tenían sus puertas abiertas. Era un día especial.

Las decoraciones más hermosas se encuentran en lo alto en sus colores blanco y rojo, no se si aludiendo a la vestimenta de Santa Claus, pero se ven brillantes.

Di un paseo por los distintos lugares, y me di cuenta que habían colocado en uno de los pasillos una venta de libros. Interesante fue mirar la variedad que allí había.

También el puesto de plantas y flores estaba abierto como las demás tiendas y la gente comprando. También en varios lugares habían armado árboles navideños muy bonitos, no muy altos, pero a modo de decoración.

As I entered I could see the decorations in all the aisles leading to the different shops which, despite it being Sunday, had their doors open. It was a special day.

The most beautiful decorations were up high in their white and red colours, I don't know if they were alluding to Santa's clothing, but they looked bright.

I wandered around the different places, and noticed that they had set up a book sale in one of the aisles. It was interesting to see the variety there.

Also the plant and flower stall was open like the other shops and people were shopping. Also in several places they had set up very nice Christmas trees, not very tall but as decoration.

Lo que me interesaba era la vista más alta por lo que subí las escaleras mecánicas y quería visualizar desde allí no sólo las luces sino las tiendas ya que hay algunas que son muy buenas.

Por ejemplo, esta tienda me encanta porque tiene diseños exclusivos de ropa que no se ven en otras tiendas y eso me encanta.

Ahora ya en la primera planta pude admirar mejor y más de cerca, y las vi enormes, luminosas y hermosas dando más estilo al lugar, mucha luz y belleza.

What interested me was the highest view, so I went up the escalators and wanted to see not only the lights but also the shops from there, as there are some very nice ones.

For example, I love this shop because it has exclusive clothing designs that you don't see in other shops and I love that.

Now on the first floor I could admire them better and more closely, and I saw them huge, bright and beautiful giving more style to the place, lots of light and beauty.

Pero como les contaba estas fechas los protagonistas creo son los niños y mi sorpresa fue cuando encontré esta exposición en medio de los pasillos del centro comercial.

Una exposición de tarjetas navideñas realizadas por los niños de una escuela para esta época navideña. Se trataba de un concurso que había organizado un colegio y por lo que pude ver era la vez treinta que lo hacían, toda una tradición que desconocía hasta ese momento y que me encantó saber.

But as I was telling you, these days the protagonists are the children and my surprise was when I found this exhibition in the middle of the aisles of the shopping centre.

It was an exhibition of Christmas cards made by the children of a school for this Christmas season. It was a competition organised by a school and from what I could see it was the thirtieth time they had done it, a tradition I had not known about until then and which I was delighted to learn about.

También había lugares especiales para que los niños disfruten con una agenda programada con los días y las actividades.

Y por supuesto la tienda Carrefour tenía en su entrada un árbol navideño con sus buenos deseos por la navidad y un lugar especial para que los niños puedan tomarse fotografías poniendo sus caritas en los reyes magos. Fue muy grato ver todos esos preparativos y cosas especiales.

Fue un paseo gratificante y hermoso donde se veía esa luz y alegría que estas festividades despiertan y sobre todo porque el tema de los reyes magos aquí es muy importante, eso es algo que me di cuenta desde que llegué.

Hoy todos los niños están celebrando este día, ya sea con juguetes o no, lo importante es su felicidad, su alegría y la inocencia que los hace tan especiales. ¡Feliz día de reyes para todos!

There were also special places for children to enjoy with a programmed agenda of days and activities.

And of course the Carrefour shop had a Christmas tree at the entrance with their good wishes for Christmas and a special place for the children to have their pictures taken with their faces on the Three Wise Men. It was very nice to see all these preparations and special things.

It was a rewarding and beautiful walk where you could see that light and joy that these festivities awaken and above all because the theme of the Three Wise Men is very important here, that is something that I realised from the moment I arrived.

Today all the children are celebrating this day, whether with toys or not, the important thing is their happiness, their joy and the innocence that makes them so special. Happy Three Kings Day to all of you!
