During my first day in Caracas, @madefrance took me to one of her jobs. We didn't actually do the thing we were supposed to do. We went to Casa Vrinda to do some yoga, but plans changed thanks to some things that needed some arranging.
For starters, there was a graduation coming on. So, while I couldn't get an live class with her, there was the chance to get to walk around the place. The most interesting thing by far was the altar. These are some offerings to Krishna. The place around the offerings are paintings depicting the mythology related to this god. I had never seen such a thing in person.
The rest of the place becomes a mix of a colonial house mixed with Hindi essence. There are lots of murals and other details with Sanskrit characters. Even the ceramic on the floor is a calling to this.
Though we didn't get to have a class, I spent some time listening to the stories told by her students. A crazy bunch with a lot to say. I guess age and experience will do that to people. Hopefully, the next time I set foot at Casa Vrinda it will be to do some yoga.
