Hola muy buenos días, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una de mis actividades del fin de semana y es que, aunque estoy en un curso intensivo de inglés eso no fue un impedimento para que me decidiera a dar clases (como servicio voluntario a mis amigos). ¿cómo inicio? Un día solo estaba estudiando para mi clase de inglés, tomaba notas en mi cuaderno y revisaba el diccionario, de pronto una amiga se me acerco y me dijo: ‘‘deberías compartir eso que estas aprendiendo en una clase’’. De repente me llego esa idea de parte de ella y le dije: ‘‘bueno preguntemos a ver si nuestros otros amigos quieren tomar la clase’’. Allí empezó todo… ahora cada fin de semana preparo una clase un resumen de un tema que aprendo y lo comparto.
Hello, good morning, today I want to share with you one of my weekend activities. Although I am in an intensive English course, that was not an impediment for me to decide to give classes (as a voluntary service to my friends). how did it start? One day I was just studying for my English class, I was taking notes in my notebook and checking the dictionary, suddenly a friend came up to me and said: ''you should share what you are learning in a class''. Suddenly I got this idea from her and I said: ''well let's see if our other friends want to take the class''. That's when it all started... now every weekend I prepare a class, a summary of a topic I'm learning and share it.
Bueno, una vez leí en una tarea de la universidad que la mejor forma de aprender algo es enseñándolo o compartiéndolo con otros. El tema se llamaba (Aprenda al enseñar) creo que ahora que soy maestra en un curso de inglés, es cuando más he comprendido la importancia de esa lectura y lo real que se ha vuelto en mi vida. Es maravillosos, de repente mis habilidades en ingles han mejorado, retengo más, recuerdo más y he perdido ese miedo que comúnmente tenemos al momento de hablar con otros una lengua que no es la nativa. Claro al principio como todo no es fácil, en las primeras clases tenía mucho miedo, algunos amigos del curso tienen mejor pronunciación que yo, y aunque sea entre amigos siempre algo así da nervios. Esa primera clase yo solo quería salir corriendo, yo había preparado mis notas y estaba lista para comenzar.
Well, I once read in a university assignment that the best way to learn something is to teach it or share it with others. The topic was called (Learn by teaching) and I think that now that I am a teacher on an English course, I have realized the importance of this reading and how real it has become in my life. It's wonderful, suddenly my English skills have improved, I retain more, I remember more and I have lost that fear that we often have when speaking to others in a language that is not our native one. Of course at the beginning like everything else it is not easy, in the first classes I was very scared, some of my friends on the course have better pronunciation than me, and even if it is between friends it always makes you nervous. That first class I just wanted to run away, I had prepared my notes and I was ready to start.
The first class was about (introduction about me) I prepared a lot of slides, but I got scared a lot, still, I made it through the first class and the practices were perfect. This weekend the class improved a lot, they even congratulated me and they learned, which is the most important thing.
But the experience has been the best since this Saturday I feel more confident to continue teaching this new language. What are my students like? The ages are very varied, I have students from 15 years old to 51 years old, all with different abilities, maybe some learn faster than others, but they have nurtured the class a lot. It has become fun to teach them and more and more they motivate me to continue learning, the experience of helping others by sharing what has helped me a lot, I grow with them, as they grow with me. I truly admire all those people who through their profession have the desire to teach and share their knowledge with others. This experience reminded me of my good teachers and all that I was able to learn, I valued having knowledge to contribute to our lives, teaching and service. All these classes are free and that attracts more students, which is very good because you can bless the lives of more people.
La primera clase era acerca de (introducción acerca de mi) preparé muchas diapositivas, pero me asusté mucho, aun así, lo logre culmine la primera clase y las practicas fueron perfectas. Este fin de semana la clase mejoro bastante, hasta me felicitaron y aprendieron, que es lo más importante.
Pero la experiencia ha sido lo mejor, desde este sábado me siento más segura de poder seguir enseñando este nuevo idioma. ¿Cómo son mis alumnos? Las edades son muy variadas, tengo alumnos desde 15 años hasta 51 años, todos con habilidades diferentes, tal vez unos aprendan más rápido que otros, pero han nutrido mucho la clase. Se ha vuelto divertido poder enseñarles y cada vez más me motivan a seguir aprendiendo, la experiencia de ayudar a otros al compartir lo que se me ha ayudado mucho crezco con ellos, así como ellos crecen conmigo. La verdad admiro a todas esas personas que a través de su profesión tienen el deseo de enseñar y compartir con otros su conocimiento. Esta experiencia me hizo acordarme de mis buenos maestros y todo lo que pude aprender, valoró el hecho tener conocimientos para aportar en nuestra vida, la enseñanza y el servicio. Todas estas clases son gratis y eso atrae a más estudiantes, lo cual es muy bueno porque se puede bendecir la vida de más personas.
If I were asked again I would say, yes, my weekends have a nobler purpose than sleeping in, well that's what all my Saturdays are like.
Si me lo preguntaran de nuevo diría, que sí, mis fines de semana tiene un propósito más noble que el quedarme a dormir, bueno así son todos mis sábados.

Saludos amiga, que bonita actividad, me encanta esa forma de ayudar a otros y es como dices una forma de mejorar tu misma al hacerte mas fluida para hablar frente a otras personas, eso siempre te dará muchos puntos a tu favor en el área que te quieras desempeñar.
