Walk, sweat, exercise, and take some photos of it: A hike into the hills

Definitely I have an anxiety problem... And, for those of you who don't understand what I mean or what I'm talking about, let me explain the following... Sundays are supposed to be days for relaxation and rest. Giving way to little activity, prioritising spending the daylight hours enjoying entertainment at home, or at the most, a little trip to the cinema and a delicious dinner; no big deal.... Well, that's not me. My anxiety and my body can't control it, and luckily I have a group of loyal friends who share the same neurosis about being at home as I do... So, we decided to go to the mountains, to walk the slopes of the hills?

Yes, just as you read it. 31 degrees of sun at noon. Full city alone, beautiful green vegetation and endless trails. Hours and hours of paths that take us to the best places. Moments where you can appreciate the beauty of an afternoon. Smiles that go hand in hand with the complicity that can only be achieved through friendship and a noble company for such an excellent but certainly somewhat unexpected task... And as the headline of this post says: sweating, exercising, walking, were the actions we repeated the most.

As a younger man, I have the memory of climbing all these trails with almost no physical problems... Now, in my strict actuality, the only thing that remains is the old memory of my years of youth and strength, haha. I exaggerate, it's not like that. But I do have to admit that I have lost a bit of my faculties. I usually work out at home. With some weights, some cardio and I regulate my diet, but the effort this activity demands is demanding. It's an endurance race, not a sprint.

I wasn't entirely convinced, you know? I mean, whether I should take my mobile phone with me or not. I even left my daughter at home with my mother because I knew beforehand that the journey might be too much for my little one. In the end, I decided to take my mobile phone. Between the remote possibility of getting lost on a hill, and being able to capture the moment with a photograph with my friends, I was convinced and took it with me. As it happens, I didn't regret it. I treasured new memories with wonderful people.

In our youth, we think that friendship, shared experiences and adventures will never come to an end. But when we grow up, all that becomes unbelievable. Even in my case, having the good fortune to have my friends close to me, we hardly see each other. Our lifestyles change as our meetings change. .... It is good to be able to coincide with or in old and good times of the past. And if you add to that, doing some exercise and changing the repeating panorama of our lives, it all makes more sense and everything gets better and better. I went back to climbing the hills of the mountains of my Valley, like when I was younger and with the best company.
