Sunshine and smiles, Hivers! I’m back again with another new blog! In this blog, I'm going to share to you all how my first day of the second semester went. Let’s get started!
The second semester in the year 2024-2025 started on January 27, 2025. This day wasn’t chaotic at all since many students hadn’t enrolled yet and the school was very busy because of SCUAA 2025.
I began my day by waking up at 5 AM and take a shower and brush my teeth because I don’t eat breakfast. I usually skip breakfast because it makes me feel nauseous or I dont have appetite to eat, and I'm not sure why I'm like thay, maybe I'm getting used to it in not eating breakfast. I also spent some time preparing everything I needed to bring to school.
After that, I walked to the main road and waited for a tricycle to arrive. This is what I wore this day, a white departmental polo and beige pants. The bag I carried was a black crossbody bag since it complemented my outfit perfectly.
As you can see in the picture, this is when I ride on a modern tricycle to head to school. My school isn’t far from my home. It takes about 10 minutes to reach school or 15 minutes if there’s traffic, but traffic in our area has specific times since my house is beside to a large corporation with many employees. Usually, traffic begins between 5 AM and 6 AM. If my class starts at 7 AM, I need to leave home around 6:20 AM to give myself a 5-15 minute duration to catch a jeep or a tricycle.
As you can see in the picture, I arrived at the school. First, I scanned my ID at the entrance since it is mandatory for students to log in using their ID before entering. The campus was really busy with enrollments and having the State University Games, also known as SCUAA 2025.
After that, I met up with my friends and we were very excited and happy. We chatted and laughed together since it's been a while since we see each other. We also checked our schedules to see which instructors would be having classes that day. However, all the instructors informed us that they will not meeting us today because they were busy, and some students hadn't enrolled yet.
We decided to watch the futsal match between Up Cebu and CNU that was held at Kadasig Gym. The game was so exciting that all of us we're shouting and cheering.
Once the game ended, we chose to hangout to our favorite hangout spot which is the Tamarind Tree area inside of the campus. This place holds a big memories since this place where we usually chillout and hangout and doing our activities. Other students were also hanging out there because it’s breezy and a great place to relax and study.
We do some TikTok dances, shared memes, and laughed so hard since Joshua kept making jokes. As you can see in the GIF, we created a TikTok meme, and at that time, I was unaware it would turn into a meme video. They just told me to either clap my hands or jump while clapping.
We spent around two hours there before deciding to have a lunch. As you can see in the picture, we were walking to find a place to eat. We tried checking out the school canteen to see what dishes were available, but unfortunately, my friends didn't like the menu for this day. They decided to come to my house instead since we had a long break because some professors wouldn't be meeting with us.
As you can see in the picture, this is us having lunch at my home. We choose to cook instead of ordering fast food because some of us prefer homemade meals. This kind of gathering is something we often do at my house, eating while watching a movie on Netflix.
After that, we made our way back to school. This is us waiting for a jeep to take us back to school. We needed to return because one professor will meet us for an class orientation. Upon arriving at school, we headed to the assigned room and waited my professor to come to the room. We had a brief orientation and my professor just tackled about the rules and regulations of the class and the way of grading.
Before heading to the Tamarind Tree area, we took some pictures in the HM lab. As you can see in the picture, we were very silly and happy since we didn’t have any more classes for the day.
After taking a photo, we decided to hang out at the Tamarind Tree area while waiting for Sam since Sam had some errands to run for our professor. While we were waiting, I placed some flowers in Apreal's hair. She didn’t get upset even though I decorated her hair with flowers. I took a photo of her new look and I show it to her, and she liked it, haha.
After that, I returned home and decided to make a cheesy tuna pie since I've been craving it the whole week. As you can see in the picture, I made three tuna pies and started to eat one because I was quite hungry, haha. I didn’t finish all the pies I made, I just ate two and I plan to give one to my mother.
After eating the tuna pie, I decided to have a quick nap because I feel sleepy after eating. I think I'm the only one who experience being sleepy after post-meal. My cats are also sleeping beside of me. They have been trained to join me for my afternoon naps. Yammy has a hilarious way of sleeping, she looks like a tipsy person sleeping. Wibble always rests on the pillow like a well-behaved cat.
When I woke up, I decided to continue editing our schedule for this semester because some of my friends admired the class schedule on my wallpaper of my phone and they request to me that maybe I could edit a schedule for them. I ask them for their preferred color and I started to layout their schedule.
And that's the end of my blog, Hivers! I’ll really miss this routine since I have a busy week ahead and the entire second semester. It's possible that I won't have the opportunity to enjoy afternoon naps with my cats, doing crochet, or making my cravings because of our schedule this semester.
