Hello friends today I want to share with you a little hidden corner that my daughters and I found on Sunday when we went for a walk near the house. We found this nice corner at the back of the science museum in Los Caobos park in my city Caracas/Venezuela. At the entrance of this park there are 2 museums that have been there for many years, my daughters were struck by a very colorful entrance that they had not seen before and asked me to enter it, when we ventured to see it we found a super bohemian corner, with specimens of trees and plants in danger of extinction and very nice cafes to enjoy delicious drinks and food at very affordable prices.
What caught our attention the most was a nice well where we saw some fish named: Tilapias, these fish originating from Africa were introduced for the first time in a lake in the city of Valencia (another state of Venezuela) in 1959. And from there, the reproduction of these specimens was carried out and they are now mostly found in fish tanks in large national parks, restaurants or shopping malls. In this park they are on display for everyone to see and for me it was surprising and unique to have a natural space so close to my house.
My daughters loved it and took the opportunity to reflect on the state of the well, a little dirty and with little water, they themselves went inside one of the cafes and kindly told the owners that they could fill the tank a little more so that the fish would swim better and would be more striking for the locals or tourists who came to see them.
It filled me with pride to see two girls as young as 5 and 7 years old appreciate their environment, develop a sense of belonging and value the natural and tourist space around them, that says that they observe me and copy what they are taught at home.
