A 360º view of Valencia from on high [Eng/Spa]

in Lifestyle7 months ago

It is important to find the positive in any circumstance, I personally believe that it is not always possible, but I do believe that we must be attentive to perceive what is good wherever and whenever it is. It was thus how from a not so pleasant experience, I was able to appreciate something that in all my years living in this city never had, a look from above in all directions and have a different perspective of places I already know.

I was at the top of a building north of the city, I sat down to wait while it was my turn to attend to the matter that brought me to this place. My mind and ideas were very focused on what I was going to do, the moment came that I was a little overwhelmed thinking so much and I got up from my chair and when I looked up I noticed that this floor of the building has windows around the perimeter, everything else is in the center, allowing you to walk and have a 360 degree view of that part of the city.

In the following photo you can see the end of Bolivar Avenue north that ends with the redoma de Guaparo. To the right of the picture you can see a cream colored building, the tallest one, which was once one of the most important hotels in the city: the Stauffer. As a child I had the opportunity to attend a 15th birthday party with my parents in the party room on the 18th floor, but that time I was terrified to look out the window, what a view I missed.

The following two images correspond to the west view. The Misael Delgado stadium, with small stands but which has hosted important national soccer matches, the most recent being the first championship of Carabobo FC; this view for a moment made me imagine what it looks like from the top of a field in one of those stadiums with 90 thousand spectators. In the second image you can see a building with black windows among the vegetation, it belongs to the Polyclinic La Viña and further in the background in the mountains, the urbanizations of the millionaires of Valencia, El Parral and Guataparo.

To the east you can see on the other side of the avenue the roof of the Professional Shopping Center that is now known as China Town, a nickname given to it by the Valencians because all of its stores are Chinese products run by Chinese people. In the middle of the image you can see a dome of the Forum de Valencia, the basketball court that serves as the home of the team Trotamundos de Carabobo and also serves as a venue for many concerts and shows. Further in the background towards the mountains are the urbanizations of El Trigal and Mañongo, which are also known to be home to wealthy people.

Finally a view to the south of the same Bolivar avenue that extends for several kilometers and is lost with the view, several of the buildings of the city and you realize that this northern part of the city is a kind of valley, a very large one if you can call it that, because it is surrounded by mountains, I dare to say that it is 20 square kilometers, maybe more.

I ended up having at the end of the afternoon of that day a special moment, something that I will treasure and always remember, how good that I was able to perceive that, find joy in that moment and take these beautiful postcards of the city that has sheltered me for several years.

I've only found a similar spot in my country which was basically a round tower that you could surround from up there to get a 360-degree view. This kind of moments always leave me speechless. Feels like having the world on your feet.

Yeah, putting aside what worries us and treasuring these moments is important, I almost missed it.

Wow this place is really beautiful. I love the kind of structure the have the

I have to tell you a secret, on every trip I have always tried to always find a point to see places from above, I think it's a beautiful thing that arouses emotions.

Interesting, it's a good habit you have, maybe because I don't travel I've never thought like that, but the truth is it's great.

Good afternoon and best wishes. We like to see the city, friend, show us that. And a pretty nice looking stadium.

Maybe I'll do, some photos from other places.
