Aunque llevo tiempo sin publicación sobre animación, no quiere decir que no estado activo al respecto, les cuento que estuve realizando un curso básico en Domestika sobre 'Tipografía expresiva en movimiento con After Effects' dictado por Mat Voyce un diseñador ingles especialista en tipografia cinetica. Mis espectativas no eran las mas altas al principio, incluso me tomo un tiempo avanzar luego de las primeras lecciones, pero luego descubrir un mundo maravilloso de la animación, y termine haciendo este par de animaciones para el dia de amor y la amistad, conocido también como día de San Valentín.

Although I haven't posted about animation for a while, it doesn't mean I haven't been active in that area. I recently completed a basic course on Domestika about 'Expressive Typography in Motion with After Effects' taught by Mat Voyce, a British designer specializing in kinetic typography. My expectations weren't the highest at first, and it even took me a while to progress after the first few lessons. However, I then discovered a wonderful world of animation, and I ended up creating these couple of animations for Valentine's Day.
Al final del curso se nos pide realizar un proyecto final, una frase en la que implementemos lo aprendido. Pensaba en una frase impactante y poderosa, pero ya de esas hay muchísimas, por lo tanto, pense que podria decir mi frase, aprovechando el poder de la animación, algo que cueste decir en persona. Actualmente es popular llamar crush a la persona que te atrae, pero que quizás no tienes el valor para hacérselo saber. Fue así que se me ocurrió utilizar esta frase para expresar aquello que no te atreves a decir.
At the end of the course, we're asked to create a final project, a phrase in which we implement what we've learned. I was thinking of an impactful and powerful phrase, but there are already so many of those. Therefore, I thought I could say my own phrase, taking advantage of the power of animation, something that's hard to say in person. Nowadays, it's popular to call someone you're attracted to a "crush," but maybe you don't have the courage to let them know. That's how I came up with the idea of using this phrase to express what you don't dare to say.
¿Por qué una animación?
Las animaciones tienen esa capacidad de llevar cualquier mensaje al siguiente nivel. Las imágenes en movimiento, los objetos, símbolos, letras, combinados con sonidos, musica y efectos son capaces de transmitir emociones e intenciones de una forma única y memorable. Una animación refleja mejor nuestros pensamientos, sin dejar espacios para la duda, por eso, nada como este tipo de arte para momentos especiales como el dia de los enamorados para expresar lo que sentimos.
Why an animation?
Animations have the ability to take any message to the next level. Moving images, objects, symbols, letters, combined with sounds, music, and effects, are capable of transmitting emotions and intentions in a unique and memorable way. An animation better reflects our thoughts, leaving no room for doubt. That's why there's nothing like this type of art for special moments like Valentine's Day to express what we feel.
Las animaciones que les comparto aca, estan basadas en técnicas que son tendencia y ampliamente usadas entre los motion designers, lo que las hace únicas, son la frase empleada, la paleta de colores y los patrones de movimiento que personalmente escogí, que pienso ayudan a expresar mejor el mensaje. La pregunta ¿Quieres ser mi crush? comienza siendo una frase pequeña en medio de la imagen, algo temblorosa por el temor hacer la pregunta, pero que luego se transforma, en palabras grandes y sobresalientes, que aún tiemblan, pero que ganaron valor por un instante para hacerse más vistosas.
The animations I'm sharing here are based on techniques that are trendy and widely used among motion designers. What makes them unique are the phrase used, the color palette, and the movement patterns I personally chose, which I think help to better express the message. The question "Do you want to be my crush?" starts as a small phrase in the middle of the image, somewhat shaky due to the fear of asking the question. But then it transforms into big, outstanding words, which are still trembling, but have gained courage for an instant to become more visible.
La otra frase es más osada, tiene un toque de rebeldía expresando claramente lo que busca. Ese mensaje que invita a divertirse, relajarse y si es posible llevar las cosas a otro nivel. Son colores vivos, acompañados de movimientos que inician con suavidad pero que terminan con rapidez, como si esperara una respuesta rápida y afirmativa. Es un mensaje que se presta para la interpretación y la imaginación, pero que deja claro que hay diversión y entretenimiento garantizados.
The other phrase is bolder, with a touch of rebelliousness, clearly expressing what it's looking for. That message that invites you to have fun, relax, and if possible, take things to another level. The colors are vivid, accompanied by movements that start gently but end quickly, as if waiting for a quick and affirmative response. It's a message that lends itself to interpretation and imagination, but it makes it clear that there's fun and entertainment guaranteed.
Estoy encantado con esta nueva etapa de la animación que he desbloqueado, creo que veran mas creaciones de tipografías en movimiento. Me gusta mucho poder comunicar un mensaje a través de las palabras, todos los dias lo hago acá en Hive, pero se que pocos son los que leen, pero ahora las cosas pueden alcanzar otro nivel, si lo que quiero comunicar esta acompañado de una animación.
I'm delighted with this new stage of animation that I've unlocked. I think you'll see more creations of moving typography. I really like being able to communicate a message through words, I do it here on Hive every day, but I know that few are the ones who read. But now things can reach another level if what I want to communicate is accompanied by an animation.

Se ven muy bien las animaciones, me gustaron eso efectos. Recuerdo que hubo una etapa en mi vida durante mis estudios secundarios en la que estuve incursionado en las animaciones siempre me gustó y aún me gusta, pero llegaron otras cosas y nunca desarrollé esa parte a fondo. Saludos
