Me encantan los lugares de antaño, cuando visito alguno, puedo llegar a sentir mucha paz combinado con intriga por saber la historia que guarda el lugar. La ciudad de Valencia tiene muchos espacios de antaño que están siendo recuperados y reciben mantenimiento constante para conservarlos en buen estado, a fin de seguir dándoles uso y sirvan de lugar turístico para la ciudad. Este es el caso del teatro Municipal de Valencia que tiene 131 año desde su inauguración, aunque en el transcurso de los años a recibido varias remodelaciones y re-inauguraciones.

I adore places with a vintage feel; when I visit them, I can experience a deep sense of peace combined with intrigue about the history the place holds. The city of Valencia has many of these old-time spaces that are being restored and constantly maintained to keep them in good condition, so they can continue to be used and serve as tourist attractions for the city. This is the case with the Valencia Municipal Theater, which is 131 years old since its inauguration, although over the years it has undergone several renovations and re-inaugurations.
He visitado el teatro en varias ocasiones, debido a que el lugar es alquilado para eventos, principalmente actos de grado, como el mio hace 12 años y en esta ocasión en apoyo a uno de mis hermanos. La zona donde se ubica es llamada el casco histórico de la ciudad, la calle Colombia que está frente al teatro alberga varios de los sitios históricos más icónicos de la ciudad, justo al lado del teatro se encuentra la primera sede del Colegio Nacional de Carabobo, que luego sería elevado a universidad, para finalmente ser conocido como la Universidad de Carabobo.
I've visited the theater on several occasions because the venue is rented out for events, mainly graduation ceremonies, like my own 12 years ago, and this time to support one of my brothers. The area where it's located is called the historic center of the city, and Colombia Street, which is in front of the theater, is home to several of the city's most iconic historical sites. Right next to the theater is the first location of the National College of Carabobo, which would later be elevated to a university, and finally become known as the University of Carabobo.
Esta calles es muy especial, pronto volvere para traer mas contenido del lugar, un dato curioso, es que a lo largo de la calle hay 7 plazas, cada una con una historia y propósito diferente. Volviendo al teatro, su edificio combina lo antiguo con elegancia, con cierta sencillez, otros teatros del mundo son mucho mas espectaculares lo se, pero para un pais como el nuestro con presupuestos modestos para aquella época, creo que es una gran obra.
This street is very special, and I'll be back soon to bring more content from the area. A curious fact is that along the street, there are 7 plazas, each with a different history and purpose. Returning to the theater, its building combines the old with elegance, with a certain simplicity. I know that other theaters in the world are much more spectacular, but for a country like ours with modest budgets for that era, I think it's a great work.
Pese a que todo el lugar es especial, el mayor atractivo que tiene para mi es el plafón, pintado por uno de los cuatro pintores clásicos mas importantes del siglo XIX de mi pais, Antonio Herrera Toro. El candelabro y la pintura son muy bonitas, pero a mi siempre me llamo la atencion la firma del artista, debajo de su nombre tiene el número romano MDCCCLXLII. Este número representa un detalle interesante, quien sepa de números Romanos podría decir que esta mal escrito, el autor quiso escribir el número 1892, la forma conocida sería MDCCCXCII, ya que escribir noventa es XC pero una forma tradicional de la época fue LXL (L=50, XL=40 L+XL=90 😅).
Although the entire place is special, the biggest attraction for me is the plafond, painted by one of the four most important classic painters of the 19th century in my country, Antonio Herrera Toro. The chandelier and the painting are very beautiful, but I've always been drawn to the artist's signature. Below his name is the Roman numeral MDCCCLXLII. This number represents an interesting detail. Anyone who knows Roman numerals might say it's misspelled. The author meant to write the number 1892, the known form would be MDCCCXCII, since ninety is written as XC, but a traditional form of the time was LXL (L=50, XL=40 L+XL=90 😅).
Disfrute mucho esta nueva visita al teatro, fue un momento muy alegre porque celebraba junto a mi familia un logro, pero es adicionalmente especial para mi por la vibra histórica del lugar, además sirvió para conocer otras actividades culturales que se están llevando a cabo en la zona, que me gustaría presenciar junto a mis hijos, ya que aún no los llevo a conocer la historia del lugar, así que pronto les compartiré más contenido relacionado.
I really enjoyed this new visit to the theater. It was a very joyful moment because I was celebrating an achievement with my family, but it's additionally special to me because of the historical vibe of the place. It also served to learn about other cultural activities that are being carried out in the area, which I would like to attend with my children, since I haven't yet taken them to learn about the history of the place, so I will soon share more related content.

Si, es muy hermoso el teatro municipal, allí también celebramos mi acto de grado de bachillerato. Y siempre que pasó por allí el ambiente es muy agradable y como dices con mucha historia que contar.
