Amigos, se acabaron las fiestas decembrinas y muchos me diran: "señora, hace raaaaato". Como es costumbre en casa hemos guardado el arbol el día 21.
Ya les conté antes que en Cumaná poniamos las decoraciones navideñas a finales de noviembre, antes del cumpleaños de mi esposo y las retirabamos el 21 de enero, día de Santa Inés, patrona de Cumaná. Pues este año, nuestra primera navidad en Buenos Aires, no tuvimos decoraciones hasta el día 3 de diciembre y decidimos dejarlas hasta el día 21 de enero, aún cuando desde el día 10 ya las fiestas parecian haber pasado hace mucho.
Y aunque @isauris decía que quería dejarlo todo el año, al final fue la primera en apuntarse a la hora de quitarlo.
Guardarlo fue más rapido de lo esperado, quizá por las mucha manos colaborando y también porque guardamos las cajas de las luces y los adornos y todo fue de regreso a ellas.
Hacía varios años que no teniamos un árbol y en esta navidad de nuevos comienzos tener un árbol fue muy especial.
Pasada la euforia navideña por primera vez me tocó pensar : "¿Ahora donde lo guardo?" Jajajaja... Porque sí, es muy lindo tener un árbol grande y frondoso, pero en un apartamento el lugar de guardado a veces es reducido. Y sí, al final pudimos solucionar y lo ubicamos estrategicamente en un armario.
Al inventariar los adornos faltaba una esfera roja, del día que nos visitó un amigo con su bebé. Y cualquiera podria creer que el niño querría jugat con alguno de los amigurumis que adornaban el arbol, pero no, para él lo más llamativo fueron las esferas brillantes. Si hubieran visto su cara de felicidad ustedes tampoco se ubieran quitado. Además, el árbol no es para adornar la casa, es para contagiar alegría y yo no voy a ser la señora amargada que regaña a un niño por desarreglarle el árbol.
Algo que me sorprendío fue la cantidad de amigurumis que hice en diciembre. El árbol empezó teniendo 3 y luego fui agregando más, pero también quitando a medida que los regalaba. Eso tambien me dio mucha alegría.
Fueron unas lindas navidades y estoy muy agradecida por todo lo recibido y los bellos momentos en familia. Espero que este 2025 venga con muchas benciones y sobre todo mucha salud para disfrutarlo.

Friends, the December holidays are over and many of you will tell me: "Ma'am, it's been a while." As is customary at home, we put the tree away on the 21st.
I told you before that in Cumaná we put up the Christmas decorations at the end of November, before my husband's birthday, and we took them down on January 21st, the day of Santa Inés, patron saint of Cumaná. Well, this year, our first Christmas in Buenos Aires, we didn't have decorations until December 3rd and we decided to leave them until January 21st, even though since the 10th the holidays seemed to have passed a long time ago.
And although @isauris said she wanted to leave it up all year, in the end she was the first to sign up when it came time to take it down.
Putting it away was quicker than expected, perhaps because of the many hands helping out and also because we put away the boxes of lights and decorations and everything went back to them.
It had been several years since we had a tree and this Christmas of new beginnings having a tree was very special.
After the Christmas euphoria for the first time I had to think: "Now where do I keep it?" Hahahaha... Because yes, it is very nice to have a big and leafy tree, but in an apartment the storage space is sometimes limited. And yes, in the end we were able to solve it and we strategically placed it in a closet.
When we were taking inventory of the decorations, a red sphere was missing, from the day a friend visited us with his baby. And anyone could believe that the child would want to play with one of the amigurumis that decorated the tree, but no, for him the most striking thing was the shiny spheres. If you had seen their happy faces, you wouldn't have left either. Besides, the tree isn't to decorate the house, it's to spread joy and I'm not going to be the bitter lady who scolds a child for messing up the tree.
Something that surprised me was the number of amigurumis I made in December. The tree started with 3 and then I added more, but also removed them as I gave them away. That also made me very happy.
It was a lovely Christmas and I am very grateful for everything I received and the beautiful moments with my family. I hope that 2025 comes with many blessings and above all, a lot of health to enjoy it.
