Tengo una prima que se dedica a las uñas y pedicure pero por un buen tiempo estuvo inactiva por muchas inseguridades así que durante todo ese tiempo yo no me realicé sistema de uñas, la verdad, me gusta trabajar con ella porque es bastante cuidadosa y es la única manicurista que nunca me ha cortado las manos, todas, hasta la más profesional terminan siempre haciéndome cortes en los dedos y la verdad es bastante doloroso y molesto.
Ella compró nuevos materiales y decidió activar de nuevo su emprendimiento por un costo de 5$ cualquier sistema, con la intención de practicar y poder seguir comprando material.
Obviamente le dije que contaba con mis manos así que fijamos un día para que ella me hiciera un sistema.
Mis uñitas últimamente han estado enfermas así que ella me recomendó que trabajaramos con base rubber que es un material más ligero y ayudara a que mi uña crezca nuevamente. También me haría pedicure.

I have a cousin who is dedicated to nails and pedicure but for a long time was inactive for many insecurities so during all that time I did not perform nail system, the truth, I like working with her because she is quite careful and is the only manicurist who has never cut my hands, all, even the most professional always end up making cuts on my fingers and the truth is quite painful and annoying.
She bought new materials and decided to activate her business again for a cost of 5$ any system, with the intention of practicing and being able to continue buying material.
Obviously I told her I was counting on my hands so we set up a day for her to make me a system.
My nails have been sick lately so she recommended that we work with rubber base which is a lighter material and will help my nails grow back. She would also give me a pedicure.

Siempre le pido que me arregle los pies porque ella me pinta las uñitas con gel y esto dura mucho más así que mis pies se ven arreglados por mucho tiempo.
Después de unos minutos ella sacó unos de mis pies del agua para comenzar a trabajar la cutícula y aplicar exfoliante de pies.
Me gusta mucho arreglar mis piecitos porque así se ven bonitos y limpios.
Después de exfoliarlos y limpiar la cuticula los esmaltó con gel blanco, secó el el en lámpara y terminamos esa parte. En los pies demoró como 40 minutos.

After a few minutes she took some of my feet out of the water to start working on the cuticle and applying foot scrub.
I really like grooming my little feet because it makes them look nice and clean.
After exfoliating and cleaning the cuticle, she glazed them with white gel, dried them in the lamp and we finished that part. On the feet it took about 40 minutes.

Aquí es donde ella más demora, ya que por ser tan cuidadosa y por tener poca experiencia suele dedicar mucho tiempo a cada uña y cada detalle y tarda hasta 4 horas en un sistema.
Yo me relajo, no la presiono además aprovechamos el tiempo para tener ciertas conversaciones pendientes y arreglar problemas personales que habíamos permitido nos separaran de mala manera, entendemos que ambas hemos crecido separadas muchos años y que quizás ser tan unidas como eramos antes no es posible, pero el ser enemigas tampoco era la idea, así que durante esas 4 horas estuvimos como dicen ''limando asperezas''
Ella comenzó cortando la cutícula de mis uñas y limandolas para darle un poco de forma. A mi me encanta el trabajo en la cutícula porque hace que la mano se vea mucho más limpia y delicada, principalmente en mi caso que mi cutícula crece demasiado y se ve espantosa.

She started by cutting the cuticle of my nails and filing them to give them a little shape. I love cuticle work because it makes the hand look so much cleaner and more delicate, especially in my case where my cuticle grows too much and looks awful.
Luego de esto empezó a preparar mis uñas para aplicar el rubber. Entre cada capa iba sellando en lámpara y es por eso que de esta parte casi no tengo fotos porque trabajaba ambas manos al mismo tiempo para ''adelantar''.
Cuando llegó la parte del esmaltado, escogí un color azul en todas las uñas a excepción de una, la quería con un efecto ''ojo de gato''.
A mi normalmente me gustan las uñas lo más natural posible pero también me gusta retar a mi prima para que vaya practicando diferentes diseños.

I usually like my nails as natural as possible but I also like to challenge my cousin to practice different designs.
Luego de pintar todas las uñas venía la parte importante que era realizar el efecto ''Cat Eye'' o ''Ojo de Gato'', este efecto se realiza aplicando un esmalte y luego pasando un imán cerca de la uña.
Este imán hace que el esmalte se mueva y se genere un efecto visual en dirección a donde apuntes el imán, es muy interesante aún me pregunto como funciona.
Luego de pintarlas selló mi uña con Top Coat y meti la mano a lámpara y este fue el resultado de mis uñitas, quedaron hermosas.
¿Disfrutan hacerse esmaltados en gel o prefieren no hacer esta inversión?
Yo estoy cambiando mi mentalidad, para dedicar un poco más de dinero y tiempo a mi cuidado personal y para lucir un poco más presentable, creo que nuestra imagen personal es muy importante, mucho más cuando tenemos un trabajo que atender, nuestra imagen dice mucho así que decidí esforzarme más conmigo misma.

After painting, I sealed my nails with Top Coat and I put my hand in the lamp and this was the result of my nails, they were beautiful.
