It seems like you're thinking about a fruitful week and how that may result in a satisfying conclusion. We often feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction after a productive week. Reflecting on our career, hobbies, or household chores and seeing that we have made progress has a favorable impact on our mental health. A productive week means that we were able to finish the things on our to-do lists and perhaps even get beyond any challenges. It doesn't require perfection or finishing every work; rather, what counts most is knowing that we gave it our all and made considerable progress. There's a certain feeling that comes at the end of a week in which you feel like you've accomplished something big. How was your week? Was there a specific aspect that influenced the feeling of productivity?
Hello everyone! Welcome to another episode of my blog. Today, I want to share with you how productive my weekdays have been before ending this week. Some days have been eventful, while others were just normal. Keep reading!
While waiting to head to the training hall, since I am the one assigned to orient the newly hired tutors on the clinic rules of the company, one of the tutors, Miss Jerrah, came to the clinic. She handed us her extended Valentine’s gift: a box of sweet, somewhat expensive brownies with a cute message written on sticky notes. We thought Valentine’s Day was finally over, but here we are, still receiving thoughtful gestures. My heart melted as I read the letter she gave. Miss Jerrah is one of the most thoughtful teachers I’ve known here at the company. At first, we weren’t that close, but now she’s been actively giving gifts like this. Thank you so much for always appreciating us.
I didn’t expect that the flower frame I ordered online would be delivered on that day. When I got home, I immediately grabbed my parcel. I was really excited to transfer the flowers my boyfriend gave me on Valentine’s Day. I’ve started framing them since we celebrated our first Valentine’s Day together, not in a long-distance relationship. I quickly placed all the flowers in the frame, and for the perfect touch, I added our picture taken in 2023. As you can see, in the smaller frame, I placed the first flowers he gave me and the flowers I received on my birthday, while the larger frame holds the flowers I received this year for Valentine’s Day. It’s so pretty!
One of the highlights of my week was having a spontaneous date in the middle of the night. Despite the distance from home, we decided to have a spontaneous date in our twinning pajamas. At first, we planned to dine in at Burger King, but there were no jeepneys available. Instead, we walked to the nearest Alberto’s Pizza and dined in. We really enjoyed this kind of spontaneous date, and it really helps strengthen our relationship. We shared our thoughts, talked about our day, and everything in between. That’s why I truly appreciate this kind of date.
On February 20, 2025, I had many errands to run. I decided to visit my dental appointment and go to PRC Cebu to process some important documents. I arranged a swap with my partner nurse: instead of working from 9 AM to 6 PM, I let her work during that time while I worked from 12 PM to 10 PM. I planned to wake up at 8:30 AM so I could go to the dentist for my braces adjustment. However, I ended up procrastinating and didn't arrive at the clinic until 10 AM, even though I took a Move It ride. I was expecting a lot of people at the clinic, and sure enough, I was right.
I’ve had my braces at D&G Dental Clinic for almost 5 years, with my anniversary coming up this March. I was really surprised when I saw the interior of the clinic, it was beautiful! The combination of black and white with marble design gave off such an aesthetic vibe. I thought I had walked into the wrong clinic, but I hadn’t. Everything was just gorgeous. I can't believe that after 4 months without my adjustment, they were able to create such an aesthetic vibe in the clinic.
D&G Dental Clinic is located very close to the Basilica del Santo Niño. They have a friendly dentist, and the receptionist is very approachable. The only problem is the long queue of patients, which can be draining because it's appointment-based and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The clinic is open from 9 AM to 3 PM. In my case, I waited for about 2 hours for my 20-minute braces adjustment. One thing that crossed my mind was that I wouldn’t have enough time to go to the PRC anymore.
The hardest thing about having braces, aside from eating crispy foods, is choosing the color for the rubber bands at each adjustment. For me, this is one of the hardest parts because I never really know what color would look good on my teeth. If a color looks good to my eyes, I’m not sure how it will look once it’s on my teeth. And if I don’t like the color, I have to wait a whole month to change it. Personally, I stick to darker colors because they seem to fit my teeth best.
After more than 2 hours of waiting and 20 minutes for my braces adjustment, it’s finally done after 4 months! Here’s the outcome. I chose violet because it's my favorite color, and I just love how it looks on my teeth. My go-to colors are black, violet, blue, and gray. If those are available, I’ll pick one of them, but if they’re not, I sometimes go for red or green.
Since the Basilica is only 5 minutes away from my dentist, I decided to take a quick visit to Sto. Niño. Lately, I’ve been struggling with anxiety and have also been feeling physically unwell. During my visit, I said a prayer for Him, expressing my gratitude for the good news that always seems to come our way. Even through tough times, there are moments of hope and blessing, and I wanted to acknowledge that. I lit a candle as a symbol of my prayer, asking for peace, strength, and continued blessings for myself and my loved ones.
These are the highlights and events from my week. I’m really grateful that each day I wake up feeling motivated and productive. I’ve come to appreciate this kind of lifestyle, where I’m able to make the most of my time and accomplish tasks. Of course, there are days when reality hits and it’s harder to stay focused or energized, and I do feel lazy sometimes. But that’s okay, not every day has to be productive. It’s important to allow myself some grace and recognize that it’s okay to have slower days. What matters is the overall effort, and I’m thankful for the balance I’ve been able to find.

I love it when Friday approaches. It means I have survived yet another week. It is already a feat for me.
