Hello to all my beautiful people of this community, January is almost over, the days are flying by and taking advantage of the time is one of the most important things in our lives, many of us do not give it enough importance, and it is something that not even money can solve. Well at this time I take this opportunity to share with you our experience that we had recently at home with the visit of our baby Jesus.
Since we were little in our home, we have grown up with many beautiful customs and traditions that are part of our lives, and many of them awaken beautiful memories of our childhood.
The visit of the baby Jesus consists of taking him to different houses of our Parish Chiquinquirá of Trujillo, Trujillo State, during the first days of January, those who are in charge of moving the child ask for permission to the church Chiquinquirá, and then bring him back on January 14, sometimes they take him a few days later because there are many houses to enter and does not give enough time.
In the following pictures we are getting ready to receive him, my grandmother and I were arranging the chairs, and clearing the table.
Whenever we receive a child we place it on this table.
After we set up the room and the table, we began to prepare tang tang to hand out to the people accompanying our baby Jesus.
As we began to listen to them, we proceeded to heat water to make coffee.
People start to arrive and I start to get excited, I really like to welcome the child.
As usual, the people of the houses have to receive and enter it, in this case it was my brother José Santos and me.
We took him to place him very carefully on the table, there we made the sign of the cross, our boy was dressed very beautifully, every year they change his clothes, this time they dressed him in yellow. I could not take the picture of him from the front as I wanted, because the light coming through the window did not allow the image to come out well.
Meanwhile the people who came singing and playing some instruments, began to sing to our manger, where we had our baby Jesus.
We started to serve the coffee and the tang to start handing out, we had also bought rockets, but I did not manage to take pictures because when they arrived they had already been given them, it is customary that on the way they launch rockets to warn the place where they are.
We started to distribute.
This year there were a little more people than in previous years, of course nothing like before, I remember that the house and the whole courtyard was full of people accompanying him, unfortunately, some people do not follow these traditions as before.
As you can see, many of us enjoy these moments that bring us so much joy.
Before saying goodbye, as usual we give some contributions to the pot that brings the child, in order to send him to make other clothes among all the collaborators of the community, this is not mandatory, this is done on a voluntary basis, here is my grandmother Graciela Carmona hanging our collaboration.
After a while we said goodbye to him, but we don't have to take him out of the house, we just have to take him in, and that's the way it is in every house. Now they went to visit other homes.
I hope you enjoyed our tradition of our baby Jesus, we look forward to your visit again in a year's time with God's favor.
I used the deepl translator since my language is Spanish.
