Hoy era día de cursos pero ayer en la noche la profesora de panadería nos pasó un mensaje diciendo que la clase de hoy fue suspendida. Los motivos, no se sabe pero la cuestión es que tendría mi mañana libre, algo que me emocionaba mucho porque han sido días duro y siento que no he descansado tanto como debería.
Aproveché para descansar un poco y adelantar trabajo pendiente, también de planificar lo que iban a hacer mis niños de pintura. No tenía nada armado pero como esta clase era sencilla, de técnicas de pintura, en cuestión de minutos ya tenía idea de lo que ibamos a hacer.

Today was a school day but last night the bakery teacher passed us a message saying that today's class was cancelled. The reasons, I don't know but the point is that I would have my morning off, something I was really excited about because it's been a tough few days and I feel like I haven't had as much rest as I should have.
I took the opportunity to rest a bit and get some work done, also to plan what my painting kids were going to do. I didn't have anything planned but as this was a simple painting techniques class, in a matter of minutes I already had an idea of what we were going to do.
Como primera actividad les coloqué una pequeña hoja con unos recuadros que tracé previamente en casa, la idea es que dentro de cada uno ellos trabajaran lo que es el degradado con lápiz y con colores, aunque por ser algo nuevo no lo comprendieron del todo bien.
Y es que también pienso que lograr un degradado con creyones es más complicado que con la pintura ya que cuesta un poco más mezclar los colores.
Una vez terminaron pasamos con la siguiente actividad. Íbamos a hacer un degradado radial, es decir que los colores se irían degradando progresivamente desde el centro. Luego haríamos contraste pintando figuras con pintura negra.
Este era un paisaje marino, por lo que los colores a utilizar eran el blanco, el celeste y el azul.
As a first activity I gave them a small sheet of paper with some boxes that I had previously drawn at home, the idea was that inside each one they would work on what a gradient with pencil and with colours is, although as it was something new they didn't understand it very well.
I also think that achieving a gradient with crayons is more complicated than with paint, as it is a bit more difficult to mix the colours.
Once they finished we moved on to the next activity. We were going to make a radial gradient, that is to say that the colours would progressively degrade from the centre. Then we would make a contrast by painting figures with black paint.
This was a seascape, so the colours to be used were white, light blue and blue.
A mitad de la actividad les avisé para tomarnos una foto. En esta oportunidad nos acompañó mi compañera Elieska, quien últimamente no estaba asistiendo a las clases por falta de tiempo. Hoy le tocó porque se le olvidó dejarme la llave ayer 😅.

A medida que avanzaban con sus pinturas me sorprendía de lo lindo que les iban quedado. Muchos demostraron unas habilidades extraordinaria y a pesar de que no habían hecho esto antes, entendieron a la perfección lo que yo les iba explicando.
Todos tenían sus dudas pero yo traté de compartir un poco con todos para que ellos entendieran como darle forma a sus ideas. Fue un día muy movido, yo iba de aquí para allá, pero se logró lo deseado.
As they progressed with their paintings I was amazed at how beautiful they looked. Many showed extraordinary skills and even though they had never done this before, they understood perfectly what I was explaining to them.
Everyone had their doubts but I tried to share a little with everyone so that they could understand how to give shape to their ideas. It was a very busy day, I was going back and forth, but we achieved what we wanted.
Una de las niñas me sorprendió gratamente con lo que logró pues se dedicó plenamente a su pintura, cosa que muy poco hace porque se distrae mucho.
Todas sus pinturas quedaron hermosas y la verdad me siento muy orgullosa por el resultado de todos. Ellos por supuesto estaban súper contentos por lo que hicieron.
Fue una gran clase, los niños se la disfrutaron un montón y yo por supuesto también lo hice al poder ayudar a estos pequeños a explotar su potencial.
Tenía planificada otra actividad pero no nos dio tiempo de hacerla, por lo que propuse darles clase el día viernes, una hora y media para que pudiéramos ir trabajando en las obras que vamos a presentar en la feria a la que asistiremos dentro de pocos días. Ya luego les iré contando sobre esto.
One of the girls pleasantly surprised me with what she achieved because she was fully dedicated to her painting, something she rarely does because she gets distracted.
All her paintings turned out beautifully and I am really proud of the result of all of them. They were of course very happy with what they did.
It was a great class, the children enjoyed it a lot and of course I enjoyed it too, being able to help these little ones to exploit their potential.
I had another activity planned but we didn't have time to do it, so I proposed to give them a class on Friday, an hour and a half so that we could work on the works that we are going to present at the fair that we will be attending in a few days. I'll tell you about this later.
