Cómo les comenté en mi anterior post, el día viernes me tocó ir a una actividad donde se presentaría una de mis alumnas de las clases de pintura con su grupo de ballet.
Desde que dejé de trabajar en la academia me alejé por completo de este tipo de actividades pero mi alumna me estuvo insistiendo mucho casi todas las clases para que fuera a verla el día de su baile.
La idea no me atraía para nada porque en los últimos días he tenido unas cuantas diferencias con mi excompañera, quien es la profesora de ballet de ella.
El ir a ese baile representaría estar en ese ambiente un tanto pesado y la verdad no quería eso. Pero casualmente yo debía hacer unas diligencias en el centro comercial dónde se daría todo y su mamá también me insistió mucho para que fuera porque ella estaría trabajando y quería contar con ese apoyo para su hija.
No hubo forma de negarme, y lo que me motivó más fue el sorprender a mi alumna al estar presente en ese día tan especial para ella.

As I told you in my previous post, on Friday I had to go to an activity where one of my students from the painting classes would perform with her ballet group.
Since I stopped working at the academy I stayed away from this kind of activities but my student was insisting me a lot almost every class to go to see her on the day of her dance.
The idea did not appeal to me at all because in the last few days I have had a few differences with my former partner, who is her ballet teacher.
Going to that dance would represent being in that kind of heavy environment and I really didn't want that. But coincidentally I had to run some errands at the mall where everything would take place and her mother also insisted me to go because she would be working and wanted to have that support for her daughter.
There was no way I could refuse, and what motivated me the most was to surprise my student by being present on that special day for her.
En mi primera parada por el centro comercial Traki, entré en la tienda "Palacio del Blumer" para comprar unas medias pantis para la niña. La mamá de la niña me pidió el favor que las comprara.
Ya de ahí me fui hasta el centro comercial, dónde me encontraría con la niña y su hermana, quien iba a acompañarla.
Nos fuimos con ella a uno de los baños para que comenzara a arreglarse y de ahí yo me fui a comprar la medicina para mi esposo.
De regreso me encuentro nuevamente con el grupo de niñas y me topo con ese momento de tensión que quería evitar.
Traté de restarle importancia y me senté a disfrutar de un chocolate que había comprado con mi hijo en lo que las niñas llegaban de arreglarse.
On my first stop at the Traki mall, I went into the "Palacio del Blumer" store to buy some pantyhose for the little girl. The girl's mother asked me to buy them.
From there I went to the mall, where I would meet the girl and her sister, who was the one who was going to accompany her.
We went with her to one of the bathrooms so she could start getting ready and from there I went to buy medicine for my husband.

De ahí en adelante me dediqué a mi motivo de estar ahí, estar con mi alumna y pasarle fotos a su mamá para que pudiera verla arreglada. La hermana de mi alumna no tenía teléfono y yo era su medio para poder ver al momento a su pequeña.
Me alegró mucho ser de ayuda para esta familia en un momento tan especial. Al principio pensábamos que las niñas iban a pasar al inicio de la actividad con su baile pero la cosa no fue así.
From then on I dedicated myself to my reason for being there, to be with my student and to pass photos to her mother so she could see her in her best possible shape. My student's sister didn't have a phone and I was her way to see her little girl right away.
I was very happy to be of help to this family at such a special time. At first we thought that the girls were going to pass at the beginning of the activity with their dance but that was not the case.
Quería que fuera algo breve pero me tocó esperar bastante, aproveché el momento para hablar con una prima, contarle un poco de mis proyectos y así iba haciendo tiempo. También conversaba con mi hijo, caminábamos un poco por las tiendas cercanas, pero siempre atentos al inicio de la actividad.
I wanted it to be something brief but I had to wait a long time, I took advantage of the moment to talk to a cousin, tell her a little about my projects and so I was making time. I also talked with my son, we walked a little in the nearby stores, but always attentive to the start of the activity.
Al rato comenzó el evento, una chica dió unas palabras y luego comenzaron a modelar las chicas como para hacer una primera vuelta de reconocimiento.
Habían bastantes personas viendo el show. Yo me encontraba a un lado del escenario porque el espacio donde estaban los espectadores estaba muy lleno y no quería estar incómoda.
After a while the event started, a girl gave a few words and then the girls started modeling as if to make a first round of recognition.
There were quite a few people watching the show. I was on one side of the stage because the space where the spectators were was very crowded and I didn't want to be uncomfortable.
De ahí en adelante hubieron unos 3 desfiles con 3 marcas de ropa diferentes.
Era bien chistoso ver el detrás de cámaras porque las chicas bajaban muy regias y cuando ya no tenían la visión del público salían corriendo para cambiarse. 🤭
From then on there were about 3 fashion shows with 3 different clothing brands.
It was very funny to see the behind the scenes because the girls came down the runway looking very regal and when they no longer had the view of the public they ran out to change. 🤭
Y por fin las niñas salieron a hacer su presentación. Yo la verdad grabé y tomé muy pocas fotos porque no estaba con el mejor ángulo.
Pero aún así pude disfrutarlo desde donde estaba.
And finally the girls came out to make their presentation. I actually recorded and took very few pictures because I wasn't at the best angle.
But I was still able to enjoy it from where I was.
De ahí ví una parte de otro desfile pero al ver la hora quise irme de inmediato porque se me hacía tarde luego para tomar transporte de regreso a casa.
En general las niñas lo hicieron muy bien, mi alumna estaba feliz por tenerme ahí y yo cumplí con ayudarlas.
Ya lo malo queda en segundo plano y se opaca por todas las cosas buenas que pude vivir ese día con las reuniones que tuve y las otras personas que se cruzaron en mi día. ✨💜
From there I saw a part of another parade but when I saw the time I wanted to leave immediately because I was late to take transportation back home.
In general the girls did very well, my student was happy to have me there and I was there to help them.
Already the bad stuff takes a back seat and is overshadowed by all the good things I got to experience that day with the meetings I had and the other people that crossed my day. ✨💜
