Las calles del barrio Palermo son un laboratorio para cualquier observador. El cruzarse con extraños de todos los lugares del mundo y de cualquier escala social es una constante, al punto que usted no puede jamás asegurar o afirmar nada sobre nadie. Y eso es lo que le hace atractivo. El sólo sentarse en nuestro balcón con el café mañanero y observar a las personas pasar, es un encanto increíble aderezado por las especulaciones: ¿Será un multimillonario mimetizado entre las personas? ¿Podría ser una famosa tenista retirada? ¿Sería algún connacional trabajando? Y otras muchas preguntas que se haría alguien a quien le guste la observación como ejercicio de estudio. Sin embargo, la gran mayoría son residentes temporales de un lugar entregado totalmente al turismo. Es decir, el nacional que vive acá son personas de la tercera edad, las cuales no podrían pagar un piso en otro lugar.

The streets of the Palermo neighborhood are a laboratory for any observer. Crossing paths with strangers from all over the world and from any social scale is a constant, to the point that you can never be sure or affirm anything about anyone. And that is what makes it attractive. Just sitting on our balcony with our morning coffee and watching the people passing by is an incredible charm seasoned by speculations: Could it be a multimillionaire mimicking among the people? Could it be a famous retired tennis player? Could it be a national working? And many other questions that would be asked by someone who likes observation as a study exercise. However, the vast majority are temporary residents of a place totally dedicated to tourism. That is to say, the nationals who live here are senior citizens, who could not afford an apartment elsewhere.
Pero ¿Saben ustedes que une a todos los residentes temporales? Pisos de azulejos en la acera condimentados con el ruido de las ruedas del equipaje, al trasladarse de un lugar a otro. Es increíble. Casi puedes imaginar a la gente saliendo o entrando en una danza infinita de idas y venidas, como si el barrio entero fuera un enorme hotel, dada la inmensa cantidad de apartamentos y casas arrendadas por los turistas ¿Los precios? Dependerá de que tan grande desee usted el espacio. Económico no es si la estancia es corta, pero especulo que el precio tiende a bajar una vez supera los quince días de estancia. Y estamos hablando de un lugar que se encuentra estratégicamente bien ubicado, en uno de los puntos de la ciudad donde la acción es increíblemente neurálgica, con barrios muy similares alrededor. Todo está extremadamente cerca, puede que no sea muy económico respecto de otros lugares de la enorme capital Argentina, pero consigues de todo. Una de las cosas decididas por @aventurerasbike es comenzar a ahorrar en nuestra estancia acá, haciendo mercado y cocinando en el apartamento. Lo cual agradezco en demasía porque de verdad, se ahorra mucho. Por supuesto es rico comer en la calle, pero no hay bolsillo que aguante una presión continua de gastos, que bien se pueden reducir teniendo algo de sentido común. Parques y verdes rodean por doquier el barrio y las imágenes que adornan la publicación demuestran tal condición.

And we are talking about a place that is strategically well located, in one of the points of the city where the action is incredibly neuralgic, with very similar neighborhoods around. Everything is extremely close, it may not be very economical compared to other places in the huge Argentine capital, but you get everything. One of the things decided by @aventurerasbike is to start saving on our stay here, doing market and cooking in the apartment. Which I am very grateful for because it really saves a lot. Of course it is nice to eat in the street, but there is no pocket that can withstand a continuous pressure of expenses, which can be reduced by having some common sense. Parks and greenery surround the neighborhood everywhere and the images that adorn the publication demonstrate this condition.
Seguimos la recomendación de un baquiano respecto del café. Sucede que las torrefactoras acá mezclan el café con azúcar y al producto le llaman café torrado. La verdad, no es un buen café. Por lo que acudimos a un lugar donde muelen el grano frente a nuestros ojos: "Café de verdad" se llama el sitio y está ubicado frente al Multiplex Belgrano en la calle vuelta del olvido. Hay variedad, no es económico, pero créanme cuando les digo que tomarán una deliciosa infusión como nunca antes. Para nuestro gusto, compramos tres variedades: Brasileño, Colombiano y Barista. Las tres con marcadas diferencias de aroma pero muy recomendadas. La saga continúa y los leo en los comentarios.

We followed the recommendation of a Baquiano regarding coffee. It happens that the roasters here mix the coffee with sugar and the product is called roasted coffee. The truth is that it is not a good coffee. So we went to a place where they grind the beans in front of our eyes: “Café de verdad” is the name of the place and it is located in front of the Multiplex Belgrano on the street “vuelta del olvido”. There is variety, it is not cheap, but believe me when I tell you that you will drink a delicious infusion like never before. For our taste, we bought three varieties: Brazilian, Colombian and Barista. All three with marked differences in aroma but highly recommended. The saga continues and I will read you in the comments.
