Espero que se encuentren bien y felices. Tengo un emprendimiento llamado Poética, donde dicto talleres de lettering. El mes pasado dicté un taller de lettering sobre lienzos, un taller algo extenso pero relajante. Pintar sobre lienzo siempre me ha relajado y últimamente tengo por costumbre pintar frases positivas sobre lienzos y los dejo a la vista en casa, eso me hace sentir bien y me recuerda cosas buenas que a veces en momentos oscuros olvido.
Para este taller trabajé con un grupo pequeño, dado que íbamos a dibujar letras desde cero utilizando pintura acrílica y a decorarlas con muchos detalles con marcadores de pintura acrílica donde cada una armaría su paleta de colores de cero. Normalmente en los talleres de pintura, todos los participantes salen con pinturas muy parecidas usando los mismos colores, asi que algo que queria resaltar de este taller es que aunque iban a dibujar la misma frase, cada una armaria su propia paleta de color y haria las decoraciones segun sus gustos usando toda su creatividad.
Usamos la frase: “las alas son tuyas y el cielo de nadie”. Debo decir que quedé muy contenta con los resultados. Cada una supo plasmar sus gustos y personalidades según la paleta que hicieron y los estilos de letras que usaron, eso quedó bastante claro al ver como iban trabajando cada una con su lienzo.
Fue un taller hermoso, que sin duda espero repetir por lo divertido que fue.

I hope you are well and happy. I have a project called Poética, where I teach lettering workshops. Last month I gave a workshop on lettering on canvas, a somewhat extensive but relaxing workshop. Painting on canvas has always relaxed me and lately I have the habit of painting positive phrases on canvas and leave them at home, that makes me feel good and reminds me of good things that sometimes in dark moments I forget.
For this workshop I worked with a small group, since we were going to draw letters from scratch using acrylic paint and decorate them with many details with acrylic paint markers where each one would build her color palette from scratch. Normally in painting workshops, all the participants come out with very similar paints using the same colors, so something I wanted to highlight in this workshop is that although they were going to draw the same phrase, each one would build her own color palette and make the decorations according to her taste using all her creativity.
We used the phrase: “the wings are yours and the sky is nobody's”. I must say that I was very happy with the results. Each one knew how to capture their tastes and personalities according to the palette they made and the styles of letters they used, that was quite clear to see how each one was working with her canvas.
It was a beautiful workshop, which I certainly hope to repeat because of the fun it was.
