Today I want to talk about one of the must-see tourist visits when going to Villa de Leyva, and that can be a good place for photos, hiking and contemplation of a natural environment combined with human intervention, called "pozos azules*.
The reason why it is called blue wells refers to the fact that it is a place that gathers several lakes that look with a striking blue color when illuminated by the sun, which is explained by a varied amount of minerals in its waters.
Due to this reason, it is not drinkable water and we can not bathe in them, although before the pandemic of 2020 you could, but it was still dangerous because they have a depth of more than 5 meters and there is a risk of drowning if you do not know how to swim.
There are many ways to get there, either by answering a Jeep or horseback ride in the city with a tour guide, but also through a car or own motorcycle and the one that we will always have but is not the most comfortable, on foot.
The entrance fee is 10,000 COP per person (2.5 hbd) since it is a private initiative, with a small sales place in a house in the middle of the wells for those who want to take something refreshing or eat something on the road.
I think that in my visit to Villa de Leyva, this was one of the places I enjoyed the most because of my interest in adventures, but also because of the impressive amount of pictures I could take.
I can't tell you the exact address because unlike other places in the city, this one is outside and has no signage other than to say that we have arrived at the blue wells, so you have to be guided by a GPS app like Google maps.

Buenas tardes Hivers, espero que estén teniendo un excelente día.
Hoy les quiero hablar de una de las visitas turísticas obligadas al momento de ir a Villa de Leyva, y que puede ser un buen lugar de fotos, de senderismo y de contemplación de un ambiente natural combinado con la intervención humana, llamado "pozos azules*.
La razón por la que se llama pozos azules se refiere a que es un lugar que reúne varios lagos que se ven con un color azul llamativo al momento de ser iluminado por el sol, lo cual se explica por una cantidad variada de minerales en sus aguas.
Debido a esta razón, no es agua potable y no nos podemos bañar en ellas, aunque antes de la pandemia del 2020 si se podía, pero seguía siendo peligroso dado que tienen una profundidad de más de 5 metros y hay un riesgo de ahogamiento si no se sabe nadar.
Hay muchas maneras de llegar, ya sea contestando un viaje en Jeep o en Caballo en la ciudad con un guía turístico, pero también a través de un carro o moto propia y la que siempre vamos a tener pero que no es la más cómoda, a pie.
La entrada tiene un costo de 10.000 COP por persona (2.5 hbd) dado que es una iniciativa privada, con un pequeño lugar de ventas en una casa en el medio de los pozos para quienes quieren tomar algo refrescante o comer algo en la vía.
Pienso que en mi visita a Villa de Leyva, este fue uno de los lugares que más pude disfrutar por mi interés en las aventuras, pero también por la cantidad impresionante de fotos que pude tomar.
No puedo decir la dirección exacta porque a diferencia de otros lugares en la ciudad, este queda afuera y no tiene una señalizacion diferente a decir que ya llegamos a los pozos azules, por lo cual hay que guiarse de alguna app de GPS como Google maps.
