Adapting to a particular kind of self-care routine has proven to be beneficial as it is essential to human beings to maintain a balance lifestyle, by means of maintaining physical, mental and emotional well being generally. To be able to live a sane life, we as human beings need to incorporate some certain lifestyles that resonates with our body and mind.
To navigate through life, we need certain self care practices that helps to keep the mind and body together. One of the basic essence of engaging in self care is that, it promotes physical health and to achieve this we have to be consistent in self care activities that take care of the body physically. Some physical practices includes exercising, eating healthy meals with proper nutrition, rest to counter stress and so on.
Let's not be confused, self care is different from skin care. Skin care has to deal with maintaining the skin with several products and nutrients to enhance and make them more beautiful and healthy but self-care is all about taking care of yourself physically and emotionally by means of activities that makes you live a healthy lifestyle. Self-care routines helps one to be productive and use you to leave a positive life.
One type of self-care that I have found sufficient and effective in my daily life is the creative self-care. This has to do with expressing yourself via your hobbies or talent which can be painting, drawing, singing, writing, sewing, content creation, vlogging, cooking, gardening, crafting, football and so many more. As we all know self-care isn't selfish rather it allows you to engage in activities that makes you connect physically and emotionally to yourself. It allows for a lifestyle that helps you build not just for the fun of it.
Self-care should help you grow no matter the activities involved in it. It is not for entertainment purposes rather it is something that should build your strength physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally. People go through a lot in our contemporary world that it is essential for you to incorporate some activities that would keep you afloat of the stress we face. In other words, when you take care of yourself physically and mentally you would notice a change in your general well-being, the way you relate at work will be different, the way you carry yourself would be exquisite, you are motivated to meet up goals and set standards, you are an improved version of yourself.
In conclusion, self-care is a necessity that people should incorporate, so as to be healthy physically, mentally, emotionally and in spiritually.
