Hi there, dearest Hivers!
Today I just want to share with you my PE final output presentation experience. It was a journey full of unforeseen moments, challenges, and lessons that I thought I would never learn.
Dancing Through PE: My Unexpected Journey into Ballet
The day has finally come for the PE finale output presentation! Purely first and second year students are into PE, so we were the ones assigned to perform. Each level was divided into three groups for the different dance forms to be presented: Ballet, Zumba and Tinikling.
Chose Ballet Over Zumba
At first, I was really planning to just go for Zumba. But my classmates had other plans. They insisted that I should be in Ballet because they said it suited me more. I tried to convince them otherwise, but they were firm in their decision. So in the end, I had no choice-I was in the Ballet group.
Dress Problem
Since we really had few performers in Ballet, we wanted our presentation to be as pretty as possible. Primarily, the biggest problem was costume. Trying to save costs, our very talented and creative classmate made the clothes by hand. We passed around a collection for materials, and seeing the end result left us even more excited (and nervous) to perform.
Meanwhile, the entire Tinikling group exerted so much effort. Their costumes are perfect to express Filipino culture-a snapshot of unity, celebration, and tradition. With all that effort put forth, I started realizing just how hard it is to put together performances like this.
The Moment of Truth: Performing on Stage
When it was finally our time to perform, my heart was racing. Standing on stage in front of everybody felt overwhelming, and I could feel the nerves kicking in. But the second I heard the music playing, everything was left behind, and I just acted. We danced there as one, and, although I was nervous, I soon learned that I enjoyed it..
With that crowd energy in front of us, we were confident before we knew it, we've made our final pose.
Surprising Victory!
After finishing our ballet performance and to our great astonishment, we got 2nd Place! 🎉 Everyone was happy and thankful for the experience. Winning was one of the things that made us very happy, but it wasn't all about winning. Teamwork, effort, as well as confidence gained along the way mattered most.
Ballet was something I never thought I'd enjoy, but this experience taught me that sometimes stepping beyond one's comfort zone would lead to the most valuable moments.
And yes, this is it for today's read, dear Hivers, about my PE journey! Until next time!
