Hello, I hope you all have or have had a nice day, 🤗 I come here to share with you a little bit of what was our beautiful family reunion, and is that my cousin was turning 40, to be exact, so she wanted to do something special and enjoyable with which to highlight and celebrate that important date, I am also about to turn the same age, so I know what it means, it is the transition to a more mature stage of life, where you carry with you a wealth of experiences that make you feel a little wiser, so we attended the beautiful celebration this weekend and it was an accumulation of unforgettable and enjoyable moments.
Hola, espero que todos tengan o hayan tenido un lindo dÃa, 🤗 yo vengo por aquà para compartir con ustedes un poquito de lo que fue nuestra hermosa reunión familiar, y es que mi prima estaba cumpliendo años 40, para ser exacta, de modo que ella quiso hacer algo especial y ameno con el que resaltar y celebrar esa fecha tan importante, yo también estoy a punto de cumplir la misma edad, asà que sé qué significa, es la transición a una etapa más madura de la vida, donde llevas contigo un cúmulo de experiencias vividas que te hacen sentir un poco más sabio, asà que asistimos a la linda celebración este fin de semana y fue un cúmulo de momentos inolvidables y amenos.
The first thing I did when I arrived was to help my other cousin (the birthday girl's sister) since she had some work accumulated, (she has a business of making billboards, models and other crafts) so I was helping her to cut out some things she needed, so she could finish faster and thus join the celebration, distract from work and the daily routine. My sister was also helping us for a while, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to finish on time.
Lo primero que hice al llegar fue ayudar a mi otra prima (la hermana de la cumpleañera) ya que tenÃa algo de trabajo acumulado, (tiene un emprendimiento de realización de carteleras, maquetas y demás manualidades) asà que estuve ayudándola a recortar algunas cosas que necesitaba, para que pudiera terminar más rápido y de este modo unirse a la celebración, distraerse del trabajo y la rutina diaria. Mi hermana también estuvo ayudándonos un buen rato, de lo contrario no habrÃamos podido terminar a tiempo.
Finally we were able to leave the burden of work and join the celebration which was very fun, we even installed a computer in the middle of the room and sang for a while, this encouraged the whole family who came out to dance, I even dared to interpret some songs of typical Venezuelan music, which I had never done before. I have always believed that karaoke is a nice activity that not only allows us to have fun, but also to express our creativity, people feel more animated, either performing a song, joining the choirs to accompany the singer or just dancing and clapping.
Finalmente pudimos salir de la agobio del trabajo y unirnos a la celebración la cual estaba muy divertida, incluso instalamos un equipo en el medio de la sala y cantamos un rato, esto animó a toda la familia que salió a bailar, incluso me animé a interpretar algunos temas de la música tÃpica venezolana, lo cual yo no habÃa hecho nunca. Siempre he creÃdo que el karaoke es una linda actividad que no solo nos permite divertirnos, sino expresar nuestra creatividad, la gente se siente más animada, bien sea interpretando alguna canción, uniéndose a los coros para acompañar al cantante o simplemente bailando y aplaudiendo
And as you can't miss in any Venezuelan family celebration, of course we had our delicious sancocho, which is a delicious and hearty soup made with ribs of beef, chicken or fish, in this case our sancocho was made with beef ribs. There is a whole culture around this delicious typical dish as it is usually made in celebrations of all kinds and sometimes it is usually made in a collaborative way, that is, everyone brings an ingredient, or many collaborated with work, that is, some cut the vegetables, others prepare the meat, others prepare the firewood, in short, it is a teamwork that serves to unite and strengthen family ties.
Y como no puede faltar en ninguna celebración familiar venezolana, desde luego tuvimos nuestro delicioso sancocho, el cual se trata de una deliciosa sopa muy sustanciosa hecha con costillas de res, pollo o pescado, en este caso nuestro sancocho era de costillas de res. Hay todo una cultura entorno a este delicioso plato tÃpico ya que se suele hacer en celebraciones de todo tipo y en algunas ocasiones se hace usualmente de una forma colaborativa, es decir, cada quien lleva un ingrediente, o muchos colaboraron con trabajo, es decir, algunos cortan las verduras, otros preparan la carne, otros preparan la leña, en fin, es un trabajo en equipo que sirve par unir y estrechar lazos familiares.
The best thing about these celebrations is that you have the opportunity to reconnect with family and friends, those people you love so much but haven't seen for a long time because of the daily routine and responsibilities that everyone has in their own lives. I love these types of celebrations, they are the only opportunities where we can all be together, these are the memories that comfort us in difficult times, it is the essence of life, we must celebrate whenever we can, all the special moments in our lives.
Lo mejor de estas celebraciones es que tienes la oportunidad de reencontrarte con la familia y los amigos, esas personas que amas tanto pero no ves desde hace mucho tiempo por causa de la rutina diaria y las responsabilidades que todos tienen en sus propias vidas. Amo este tipo de fiestas, son las únicas oportunidades en que podemos estar todos juntos, son estos los recuerdos que nos reconfortan en momentos difÃciles, es la esencia de la vida, hay que celebrar siempre y cuando se pueda, todos los momento especiales de nuestras vidas.
My cousin had a happy birthday, thanks to God, a happy start to a new stage of her life, I sincerely wish her a lot of health, happiness and prosperity, may many blessings rain down on her life, and may many more moments like this be repeated.
Mi prima pasó un cumpleaños feliz, gracias a Dios, un feliz inicio a una nueva etapa de su vida, sinceramente le deseo mucha salud, felicidad y prosperidad, que lluevan muchas bendiciones a su vida, y que se repitan muchos más momentos como este.
