Christmas Eve is now fully upon us, keeping us rather busy. Here in the Far East, as you might expect, it's not a public holiday, but fortunately on Monday at least work-wise I didn't have much to do. Things are very different at home and within the family, although I'm happy to accept a lot of the stress that awaits me here today and to get involved in everything that's happening around me.
The shining eyes of the children may have become a little smaller, but there's still a lot of excitement in our house, which I really enjoy. Even though I may not be feeling quite so Christmassy at the moment, I was able to feel a little of that special and contemplative atmosphere that is so characteristic of this time of year here in the land of the rising sun as well. The Christmas music I've been listening to over the last few days may have played a part in this, I guess it was just the right dose.
Just a few days ago, the first onset of winter took us by surprise and brought a good load of snow, which is already melting today. Just when the weekend started, it looked completely different and you were lucky to get home in one piece. On Christmas Eve, sometimes even the sun came out, so we could actually enjoy the white Christmas all around us. And since the little ones were also able to enjoy playing in the snow, I tried to put a positive spin on this first heavy snow. Now at the end of the year, it's supposed to get really mild again and the thermometer could even rise above 10 degrees. This could also make the inside of our house a little more pleasant, where it has been quite frosty over the last week, at least outside the few heated rooms.
But as it's still Christmas, I want to enjoy this time a bit more. For the rest of the year, I'll just try to relax as much as possible and see the positive side of the hustle and bustle that even a small family can cause. And I will also try to do my bit to ensure that everyone around me continues to have a smile on their face. Even at Christmas, that's not always a given, although we've been pretty good at it so far. And that's how it should stay for as long as possible.
Once again, I would like to wish you all the very best for the festive season. You can't really repeat that often enough. And therefore in this spirit:
"Merry Christmas!"
You are right, joy never ends, we can celebrate it as long as we want, like your Christmas. Christmas is not just about friends or going to nice places.
Happy Christmas
Most events all over worlds are about meeting friends and family and spending a good time together. Have a good end-of-the-year and a safe ride into 2024!
