Hola querida comunidad Hive ❤️// Hi dear community Hive ❤️
When I was little one of my favorite places in Barquisimeto was the Bararida Zoo, I was always excited when they took me for a school trip or when we went as a family outing.
Since I went to Barquisimeto on vacation I took the opportunity to go, so my cousin @EldiariodeLys and I got up early, made a bag of cotufas/palomitas and went to the zoo.
We arrived at about 10:30 am and went to buy tickets, once inside the first thing you find is a big sign that says "Bararida Zoo" and of course, it was more than necessary. We started to walk around to see the animals and first we met a family of donkeys, they were Cuchi and there was a little one. Then we met a horse and something called "Cebrallo" which according to the internet, is a cross between a horse and a zebra but it was really cute I will not deny it.We continued walking and we came across the monkeys, they were surrounded by a nice pond of water and were playing in their little house hahahaha, then we got to the zebra that was very cute, well cared for and well fed too. I don't know why in that zoo there are too many ostriches, everywhere there were many spaces with ostriches and personally I don't like them very much 🥺.
Further on there was a family of very cute hippos. There are many new animals and what I liked the most is that it is much more cared for than before, not only with the animals but also in the maintenance of the place. We continued with the animals and there were also ducklings walking around on their own. We went to where the little baboon monkey, like Rafiki in the Lion King, was very flirtatious and posed as soon as he saw us so we could take pictures of him.
There was also a cougar that was sleeping very comfortably, a tiger that was also sleeping very comfortably and a lion that was roaring very loudly for us to see him 😂 he really wanted attention.
The zoo also has recreational areas, first we found a zip line where there was a climbing wall and then you could go down on a zip line, there are also boats for you to take a ride on the lake, in fact we saw a boat where almost the whole family 😉.
For that area we saw a family of water buffalo where the female was called "chela" and spent her time ignoring the gentleman who brought them food 🤣,
We went to the contact area and although we couldn't get through it was very funny to see how all the piglets, goats, sheep and others were fighting to eat 😂. There are also two anteaters that also modeled for us hahahaha.
Actually what made us most excited to go to the zoo again is to see the manatee, there are three of them and they have a keeper who is there with them to talk to them, arrange the lettuce and change the water to keep it clean. The guy would call them and they would stick their little noses out for people to see them 😊. I was impressed that there were two condors, I thought they were only in cold areas since they are birds that were only in those places but apparently not. Obviously a photo shoot was needed on a walkway which obviously my cousin made sure they came out beautifully, I won't deny it.We continued walking to finish seeing all the animals that were there since it wasn't long before they were going to pick us up, so we saw more monkeys, a cunaguaro, some raccoons, a gorilla, a chiguire, an otter that talked to us 😂, and some deer that stole our hearts ❤️. There were also several species of birds, more monkeys and, as I said at the beginning, many ostriches ...... While we were waiting to leave we bought something to drink and then we were picked up.
So ended my favorite day of the whole week I spent in Barquisimeto, it was very nice to return to that place that I enjoyed so much when I was little..... Thanks for reading my post, see you in the next one bye ❤️
