Nuna Running Sleddog Team

in Lifestylelast year

It's been quite a while since I last made a post here on Hive with my personal profile. Life has kept me quite busy in recent years, but now I feel that the time has come to embark on this adventure again with a new goal: to introduce you to the fascinating world of sled dogs.

My name is Nic, and after graduating in Biology, I decided to move with my partner to a rural area in northern Italy. Here, we decided to create a small farm. We take care of a lots of things: chickens, goats, saffron, bees... But above all, sled dogs. In fact, the primary focus of our farm is the breeding of Alaskan Malamutes and Canadian Eskimo Dogs, a sadly endangered breed. It's a somewhat unusual line of work, we're well aware of that, but it brings endless satisfaction.
Even though we are breeders, all of our dogs are first and foremost members of our extended family, inseparable friends with whom we have chosen to share our everyday lives. It's a demanding life that requires many sacrifices... But the emotions they evoke when they dash through the snow at full speed are truly priceless.

I decided to start writing on HIVE again because this year, for the first time, our sled team will participate in two world championships, one on snow and one on land. It seemed like a great opportunity to introduce you to this unique world that may seem quite distant from the blockchain.
Moreover, many people believe that sleddog is a cruel sport that forces dogs to endure great hardship. In reality, as I'll show you in the upcoming posts, this is what they live for. They are thrilled every time we head out to run, and for them, there is nothing more beautiful and rewarding than this.

In the upcoming posts, I'd like to introduce you first and foremost to these two beautiful breeds that we raise with great passion, and also to the individual members of our team – an exceptional group of dogs known for their intelligence and power. Additionally, I'll take you along throughout the upcoming sled dog season, which will begin in just over two weeks. I'll share day by day how a team of dogs prepares for such an event.

See you soon! Never stop mushing!

Since you mentioned about your personal Hive account, can you please share your other username just to be transparent.

Personally, I am excited to read your future blogs about sled dogs and your upcoming competitions! Hope your sled team win! I'm not sure as well if there is a specific community for this but perhaps you can try, Hive Pets or Outdoors and more. Or better yet, you can create your own community! I've made mine as well, namely Freediving.

You can also check out our different Communities and see what interests you.

To help you on your journey here, you can read How To Get A Great Start on the Hive Blockchain or check out some resources in newbies-guide. Also, engaging with the community makes it much easier to build your network and gain support. And lastly, Plagiarism and any form of abuse is considered a serious offense. Navigating here on Hive can be somewhat tricky so make sure to check out the things mentioned above.

This is @indayclara from the @ocd team and we wish you all the best!

Hey @lovesniper @indayclara, thanks! I'm more than happy to share my old account... @spaghettiscience. Was writing there during university about science, and posted a couple of articles also during the pandemic. Was a pretty succesful blog, but since now the focus is totally different I just prefer to start again from scraps.
