Sunday Mood - My 1st vlog in the community

Every day, people worry about what will happen tomorrow, what they want for tomorrow, and what they need for tomorrow. And that’s not bad, of course. But I believe people need to enjoy the small and simplest things more, to be present now and today. And no, I’m not telling you to forget the future—I’m telling you to think about the future while being present today..

Cada día, las personas se preocupan por lo que pasará mañana, lo que quieren para mañana y lo que necesitan para mañana. Y eso no está mal, por supuesto. Pero creo que la gente necesita disfrutar más de las cosas pequeñas y simples, estar presente en el ahora y en el hoy. Y no, no te estoy diciendo que olvides el futuro, te estoy diciendo que pienses en el futuro mientras vives el presente.

Yesterday, I invited my dad @ach67 to spend a different kind of Sunday afternoon together. I wanted to show him a beautiful and interesting place with a great view here in the capital. And of course, I will share it with you too, guys.

Ayer invité a mi papá @ach67 a pasar una tarde de domingo diferente juntos. Quería mostrarle un lugar hermoso e interesante con una gran vista aquí en la capital. Y, por supuesto, también lo compartiré con ustedes.

We started walking along the Malecón, enjoying the view, the old cars, the people, and of course, the fresh air.

Comenzamos caminando por el Malecón, disfrutando la vista, los autos antiguos, la gente y, por supuesto, el aire fresco.

Then, we went to an ice cream shop because I wanted him to try different flavors. (Normally, in our city, Guantánamo, ice cream shops only offer three or four flavors, but here in the capital, there are more than 15 flavors!)
He chose: Amarena, Whiskey, and Hazelnut.
I chose: Amarena, Hazelnut, and Stracciatella.
Our favorite was: Amarena.
We also ordered a brownie because we love mixing it with ice cream.

Luego fuimos a una heladería porque quería que probara diferentes sabores. (Normalmente, en nuestra ciudad, Guantánamo, las heladerías solo ofrecen tres o cuatro sabores, ¡pero aquí en la capital hay más de 15!)
Él eligió: Amarena, Whisky y Avellana.
Yo elegí: Amarena, Avellana y Stracciatella.
Nuestro favorito fue: Amarena.
También pedimos un brownie porque nos encanta mezclarlo con el helado.

We don’t eat sweets or candy often because we prefer healthy food, but sometimes we like to treat ourselves.
While we were at the ice cream shop, we had a great conversation and enjoyed a beautiful view with fresh air.

No solemos comer dulces o caramelos porque preferimos la comida saludable, pero de vez en cuando nos damos un gusto.
Mientras estábamos en la heladería, tuvimos una gran conversación y disfrutamos de una vista hermosa con aire fresco.

Then, I decided to show him the Hotel Nacional de Cuba for three reasons:

The beauty and history of this place (I’ll share more about it in another vlog).
The incredible view.
Because he had never been there before.
I often come here to work because I love working with a beautiful view and in a quiet place. And this place is perfect for that.
We took many pictures there, but I’ll share them with you in another vlog.

Luego decidí llevarlo al Hotel Nacional de Cuba por tres razones:

La belleza e historia de este lugar (compartiré más sobre esto en otro vlog).
La increíble vista.
Porque él nunca había estado allí antes.
Suelo venir aquí a trabajar porque me encanta trabajar con una vista hermosa y en un lugar tranquilo. Y este sitio es perfecto para eso.
Tomamos muchas fotos allí, pero las compartiré con ustedes en otro vlog.

We stay until night because i wanted to take pictures of it shining and its amazing🤩

Nos quedamos hasta la noche porque quería tomar fotos del hotel iluminado, ¡y se veía increíble! 🤩
