Hello dear hives! I hope your weekend was great and that you are ready to start a new work week with all the renewed energy.
I'm here to tell you how yesterday went for me. We weren't planning on leaving the house since the week had been pretty busy, but on Friday night we got a call from a friend of my husband's. He said he would be arriving in the morning. He told us that he would be arriving at the airport in the morning and asked us to pick him up and take him to a little hotel he likes very much, called “Colibri”. My husband, without thinking twice, said yes.
We got up very early to be on time. It is very uncomfortable to arrive at the airport after a trip and no one is waiting for you. Thanks to the fact that we had to arrive early, I was able to see the sunrise, which was beautiful, as the sky took on beautiful shades of color.

Estoy aquí para contarles cómo me fue el día de ayer. No pensábamos salir de casa ya que la semana había sido bastante ajetreada, pero el viernes en la noche nos llamó un amigo de mi esposo. Nos dijo que estaría llegando en la mañana al aeropuerto y nos pidió el favor de recogerlo y llevarlo a un hotelito que le gusta mucho, llamado “ Colibrí ”. Mi esposo, sin pensarlo dos veces, le dijo que sí.
Nos levantamos bien temprano para llegar a tiempo. Es muy incómodo llegar al aeropuerto después de un viaje y que nadie te esté esperando. Gracias a que teníamos que llegar temprano, pude ver el amanecer, que fue hermoso, ya que el cielo tomó unos tonos de colores bellísimos.
We picked up our friend and went to the city of Porlamar to drop him off at the “Colibri” hotel. We helped him with his luggage and left immediately because he had barely slept, as he told us. He came to the island to do some work, so his stay will be very short, only three days. We arranged to meet during the week.
Recogimos a nuestro amigo y fuimos a la ciudad de Porlamar para dejarlo en el hotel “Colibrí “. Le ayudamos con su equipaje y nos retiramos inmediatamente porque apenas había dormido, según nos contó. Vino a la isla para hacer un trabajo, así que su estancia será muy corta, solo tres días. Quedamos en vernos durante la semana.
On the way home, we always appreciate the urban landscape of the city, which always surprises me with something new. Almost at home, we pass through the tunnel of love, which I like so much for its intertwined trees. It is magical, it always fills me with peace.
De regreso a casa, siempre apreciamos el paisaje urbano de la ciudad, que siempre me sorprende con algo nuevo. Casi al llegar a casa, pasamos por el túnel del amor, que tanto me gusta por sus árboles entrelazados. Es mágico, siempre me llena de paz.
When we got home, we decided to continue with our original plan, which was to be quiet and watch a movie. We chose “The Shape of Water”, a movie we had already seen but love. Since we were home alone, it was the best way to spend the day, after watching an unexpected beautiful sunrise.

Al llegar a casa, decidimos continuar con nuestro plan original, que era estar tranquilos y ver una película. Elegimos "La forma del agua", una película que ya habíamos visto pero que nos encanta. Como estábamos solos en casa, fue la mejor manera de pasar el día, después de ver un hermoso amanecer inesperado.
