Hola amigos, feliz inicio de semana. Soy Yeli Marín, sean bienvenidos a mi blog @yelimarin, hoy quiero compartirles lo que ha sido esta nueva experiencia profesional al aprender un nuevo idioma.
Les confieso que este es un reto para mí, es algo que no domino y que en el liceo y en la universidad vi por encima. Aprobaré mis materias satisfactoriamente en aquella oportunidad, pero ahora, el nivel de aprendizaje debe ser mayor.
Luego de que en mis clases de maestría me hicieran la salvedad de que tenía que tener un dominio fluido del idioma inglés, pise manos a la obra, me asesoré sobre los institutos en mi ciudad que impartirán estás clases y finalmente me inscribí, por lo que estoy viendo ambas clases de forma simultánea.
I confess that this is a challenge for me, it is something that I do not master and that in high school and college I saw above. I will pass my subjects satisfactorily in that opportunity, but now, the level of learning must be higher.

Esto me ha hecho entender que, para no saturarme, voy a paralizar mis estudios superiores al finalizar mi maestría y me voy a dedicar a profundizar mis conocimientos en el dominio del idioma inglés.
Pues sé que aprender a hablar una lengua extranjera no es nada sencillo y requiere de tiempo y dedicación. Hace unos meses había pensado en terminar la maestría e iniciar el doctorado sin perder más tiempo, pero para no saturarme, voy a enfocarme en aprender más y formarme como bilingüe.
Mi grupo de estudio es muy variado porque existen niños, jóvenes y adultos, lo que hace un reto para el profesor. Hay quienes tienen ya dominio del inglés, pero están iniciando para refrescar sus conocimientos, nivelarse y seguir aprendiendo.

En esta clase tuvimos una pequeña dramatización que nos enseñaba a pedir un café en una tienda y presentarnos con otras personas. Se ve fácil, pero cuando no sabemos nada del tema, esto termina asusta, somos un poco.
Yo me sentía asustada cuando me tocó pasar a la pizarra y después de hacerlo me di cuenta de que lo que me pedían hacer no era difícil, es solo que, por miedo a no fracasar, me bloqueaba.
Ya me asignaron un libro de estudios donde debo hacer prácticas, reproducir audios y preparar el material previo a cada clase. Se estima que este primer nivel dure 9 meses y ya he aprendido cómo se dice el nombre de algunos países que no sabía que su pronunciación se hacía diferente, como el caso de Japón, que aunque se escriba igual, realmente se pronuncia Yepan.
In this class we had a little skit that taught us how to order a coffee in a store and introduce ourselves to other people. It looks easy, but when we don't know anything about it, it ends up being a little scary.

Aprovechamos de hacer un pequeño compartir para interactuar un poco, pero creo que todos estábamos esperando terminar la clase para irnos a cumplir con nuestras demás actividades.
Las horas pasan volando en esta clase de inglés y desde ya tengo que hacer tiempo para resolver los ejercicios asignados y llevarlos listos para el sábado, por lo que equilibrar esta nueva actividad junto con las otras que ya tenía es todo un desafío que demanda mucho tiempo y concentración de mí. Pero bueno, nadie dijo que sería fácil, por lo que cada logro es producto de mucho esfuerzo y sacrificio. Que Dios me ayude.
We took the opportunity to do a little sharing to interact a bit, but I think we were all waiting to finish the class to go to our other activities.
The hours fly by in this English class and I already have to make time to solve the assigned exercises and get them ready for Saturday, so balancing this new activity with the others I already had is a challenge that demands a lot of time and concentration from me.
