Yaa estamos a mitad de semanay,y después de tanto tiempo, tuve la oportunidad de salir a comer con mis compañeros de trabajo, a quienes no suelo ver tan seguido porque nos encontramos básicamente en algunos eventos. Justo hoy nos reencontramos porque se realizaría la elección del sindicato de empleados al que estoy afiliada y yo iba a apoyarlos con el tema de las elecciones.
Así que aproveché al salir de la actividad para ir a comer en un restaurante asiático de mi ciudad, cosa que no hacía desde hace un tiempo. Una de las cosas que me tocó fue negarme al refresco al momento de comer; solo tomé agua fría y al final una taza de té. Primera vez que como arroz chino con agua, pero resultó algo llevadero.
Hace unos meses pensé que no llegaría ese momento en que con determinación dijera que no y fue agradable para mí porque cada vez estoy más firme en mi alimentación y, aunque el arroz chino no es precisamente una comida sana, cada vez que tenga la oportunidad de darme un gusto lo voy a hacer, ya que sigo entrenando y haciendo mis cosas bien.

So I took the opportunity after the event to go to an Asian restaurant in my city for lunch, something I haven't done for a while. One of the things I had to do was to refuse soda at the time of eating; I only drank cold water and at the end a cup of tea. It was my first time eating Chinese rice with water, but it turned out to be somewhat bearable.
A few months ago I thought that the moment would not come when I would say no with determination and it was nice for me because I am becoming more and more firm in my diet and, although Chinese rice is not exactly a healthy food, every time I have the opportunity to treat myself I will do it, since I keep training and doing my things right.
Tenía un tiempo que no compraría con este grupo de compañeros; de hecho, la última actividad que realicé con ellos fue un viaje a Caracas, en donde aproveché de ver a mi hijo, a quien no veía desde hace mucho. Siempre nos encontramos en actividades formativas como cursos, congresos y eventos relacionados con el sindicato.
A este restaurante, a la primera vez que venía, es muy grande y discreto, pero como cosa rara, al salir me encontré con una colega y sus hijos, quienes también estaban allí; siempre hay alguien conocido en algún lugar. Comparto con compañeros de trabajo a quienes no veía desde hace mucho; a uno de ellos no veía desde hacía 7 años, un señor muy amable y respetuoso.
También sentí mucho pesar al ver a otro compañero que está pasando por un mal momento de salud. Su pérdida de peso ha sido sorprendente; él está luchando con una diabetes que poco a poco lo ha ido consumiendo y, con todo y no tener casi fuerzas, llegó al evento con su bastón y nos acompañó por varias horas, porque su entusiasmo es su mayor empuje y esto me ha permitido no caer en cama del todo.
It had been a while since I had shopped with this group of colleagues; in fact, the last activity I did with them was a trip to Caracas, where I took the opportunity to see my son, whom I had not seen for a long time. We always meet in formative activities such as courses, congresses and events related to the union.
This was the first time I came to this restaurant, it is very big and discreet, but as a rare thing, when I left I met a colleague and her children, who were also there; there is always someone I know somewhere. I shared with co-workers whom I had not seen for a long time; one of them I had not seen for 7 years, a very kind and respectful gentleman.
I also felt very sorry to see another colleague who is going through a bad health moment. His weight loss has been surprising; he is struggling with diabetes that has been consuming him little by little and, even though he has almost no strength, he came to the event with his cane and accompanied us for several hours, because his enthusiasm is his biggest boost and this has allowed me not to fall into bed completely.
Tengo ya más de 17 años como funcionario público del municipio; he conocido a grandes personas, unos ya no nos acompañan físicamente, pero dejaron un gran cariño para nosotros a través de sus recuerdos. Por eso compartir con estas personas es algo enriquecedor para mí. Porque gracias a la muchacha que me acompaña, que es mi jefa, he podido tener la oportunidad de estudiar, de ser mamá, atender a mis hijos y tener un trabajo estable.
Ya han sido 7 años que he podido hacerlo gracias a ella y al apoyo que me ha brindado. Dios siempre pone personas buenas a nuestro alrededor para que podamos brillar y ella es una de ellas. Amigos y personas que nos dejan un gran legado de vida a través de sus luchas y a quienes consideramos nuestros amigos.
I have been a public official in the municipality for more than 17 years; I have met great people, some of them are no longer with us physically, but they left a great affection for us through their memories. That is why sharing with these people is something enriching for me. Because thanks to the girl who accompanies me, who is my boss, I have been able to have the opportunity to study, to be a mother, to take care of my children and to have a stable job.
It has been 7 years that I have been able to do it thanks to her and the support she has given me. God always puts good people around us so that we can shine and she is one of them. Friends and people who leave us a great legacy of life through their struggles and who we consider our friends.

Es maravilloso poder reencontrarse con amigos, me alegra saber que amistades se conservan en el tiempo. Mis amistades, lastimosamente todas están fuera del país, pero igual existe la comunicación.
Si amiga, eso también me ha pasado, sobre todo con colegas con los que inicié mi época de periodista, todos se fueron del país.
