Hace algunos años a mi sobrina María Cristina le compraron una bicicleta de segunda mano, pero bastante conservada, no sé si la logro utilizar algún día. Lo cierto es que desde esa vez la he visto colgada en la habitación de las cosas que se dejan en el olvido y que muy pocas veces se recuperan para ver la luz. En este caso, en particular, me animé a conversar con mi hermana para que me la regalara para comprarle los repuestos necesarios y ponerla al día para ver si Jeremías podía usarla mientras pueda. Por la cuestión del tamaño, es de rin 16 y ya casi le queda pequeña para que la pueda manejar a gusto.

Luego de comprar algunas refracciones, cauchos, tripas, pintura y frenos, la bicicleta quedó bastante decente para salir a la pista. Así que el día de ayer aprovechamos los días de asueto de carnaval para ir y probar cómo había quedado luego de los arreglos. La pasamos bastante bien, decidimos hacer un recorrido por toda la urbanización Ali Primera. Por primera vez hicimos algo así, nos dimos cuenta de que no es solo cuestión de números, sino que también la extensión física demuestra lo grande que es el urbanismo.
After buying some refurbishments, tires, guts, paint and brakes, the bike was pretty decent to go out on the track. So yesterday we took advantage of the carnival days off to go and test how it looked after the repairs. We had a great time, we decided to do a tour around the Ali Primera urbanization. Se puede observar que algunos sitios están más conservados que otros y esto está ligado directamente con los vecinos que viven en estas torres. Se puede ver la organización, el sentido de pertenencia y la intención de tener áreas comunes arregladas y limpias para poder salir y compartir en tiempos libres.

Realmente esto se puede catalogar como una ciudad en medio de otra, según algunas estadísticas, aquí viven más de 5K familias distribuidas en 32 zonas de 6 edificios y 24 apartamentos por torre. Son muchas las personas que transitan estas calles. Durante todo el día hay movimientos, es más, durante las noches se puede ver gente circular a altas horas de la madrugada y en algunas partes se puede observar jornadas hasta el amanecer.

Gracias a Dios mi hijo es un niño valiente, también tiene mucha energía, lo puse varias veces que se adelantara y volviera a alcanzarme para ver si con eso podía drenar su energía, lo hizo varias veces, en algunas ocasiones nos paramos a descansar, pero definitivamente estuvo mejor de lo que fuese esperado por su poca experiencia en la bicicleta cuando se trata de largas distancias. Esto casi fue un entrenamiento para una competencia cualquiera.
Thank God my son is a brave boy, he also has a lot of energy, I put him several times to go ahead and catch up with me to see if that could drain his energy, he did it several times, sometimes we stopped to rest, but he was definitely better than expected for his little experience on the bike when it comes to long distances. This was almost like training for a regular competition.
Tenía tiempo sin caminar por la urbanización, para mí también fue un entrenamiento, uno bastante duro, era una caminata rápida. Jeremías, de vez en cuando, me hacía acelerar el paso para poder alcanzarlo. Más que todo, estaba pendiente de protegerlo y prevenir que no fuese a venir un carro o peor una moto que últimamente han ocasionado un gran número de accidentes por la imprudencia de sus conductores. De igual forma, estuvimos eligiendo los pasos y los sitios por donde menos pasa el tránsito.
It had been a while since I had walked in the urbanization, for me it was also a workout, a pretty hard one, it was a fast walk. More than anything, I was watching to protect him and prevent a car or worse, a motorcycle that lately have caused a large number of accidents due to the recklessness of their drivers. In the same way, we were also choosing the passes and the places where the least traffic passes through.
El día terminó bastante bueno, con el cuerpo sudado, con mucha energía todavía en nuestros cuerpos y con la satisfacción de poder haber arreglado la bicicleta de gran forma y que está lista para hacer muchos recorridos durante un tiempo prolongado. Me siento feliz porque cumplí uno de los sueños más anhelados de mi hijo. Me lo había pedido muchas veces, pero no es fácil a veces reunirme para comprar una bicicleta sabiendo que hay otras prioridades en la familia y en el hogar. Pero, la meta cumplió, es lo importante.
The day ended pretty good, with a sweaty body, with a lot of energy still in our bodies and with the satisfaction of having fixed the bike in a great way and that it is ready to do many rides for a long time. I feel happy because I fulfilled one of my son's most cherished dreams. He had asked me many times, but it is not easy sometimes to get together to buy a bike knowing that there are other priorities in the family and at home. But, the goal was achieved, that's the important thing.
