Ice Cream Creations ~ Ice Cream Questionnaire

Hello ice cream lovers. Are you ready to admit some of your ice cream desires today? Well I've got some questions for you, I will answer as well. So let's get to it.

What is your favorite kind of ice cream ?

To some this may be all to easy to answer. I've seen a lot of polls over my long obsession for ice cream. The number one and number two choices among most are almost always the same. Vanilla gets first place and chocolate gets second. Now third place and beyond it really varies. If your not with the majority no worries because I'm not either.

I will eat my favorite ice cream in two ways. I eat it the most in a dish or bowl. My favorite way to enjoy it is via an ice cream cone. I don't always have cones available at home and usually it's a warm weather choice. I won't scoop it and pair it with a piece of cake or with a warm pie that's what vanilla ice cream is for. I just simply enjoy it by itself.

Here you have it my favorite type of ice cream is Rocky Road! I just love the ingredients that make it up. It includes chocolate ice cream, chunks of chocolate, marshmallows, and nuts. Usually you won't find it made exactly the same. The nuts are often either peanuts or almonds. Marshmallows can either be whole miniature ones or marshmallow creme.

I prefer it with miniature marshmallows and roasted peanuts. I was a young grade schooler when I fell in love for the first time. Sorry ice cream came before girls, haha. I still remember my first time trying it.

I was at a shopping mall during the Christmas season. After getting off the lap of Santa Claus my mother took me to an ice cream shop right around the corner. The name of this shop was Baskin Robbins. It was a few years ago and they were still offering their 31 original flavors. Looking through a glass that was eye level with my height at the time I had so many choices. Seeing Rocky Road I was intrigued with both it's name and what it contained. I had a single scoop in a sugar cone and the rest is history!

What's better a milkshake or a malt?

In case someone doesn't know the difference I will explain first. A shake is simply made by adding ice cream and milk together. You can also add fruit and other things to give it a particular flavor. Really the only difference with a malt is the addition of malted milk powder. Malts tend to be thicker, have a nuttiness taste and a more milk flavor sweetness to them.

I personally like the milkshake better. I'm not a huge fan of the malted milk powder. In my opinion the malt tends not to taste as cold as a milkshake. Also I like the ice cream I don't want to alter its taste. Don't get me wrong I don't think it's disgusting and I would enjoy one if someone gave me one :)

What's your favorite way to enjoy ice cream?

There's a few ways for sure. In a dish, cone, accompanied with something else, in a milkshake/malt and several more. Personally all of the above right? There's a time where I just like to mix it up. You really can't go wrong on how you enjoy ice cream.

If the conditions are right and all choices are available I would do it in a cone. It's an easy way to eat it and you can actually leave with it.

What is your favorite type of cone?(cake, sugar or waffle cone)?

I'll be honest, all three because I enjoy certain types of ice cream in each one. Let's start with the cake cone. I'm a big fan of having only soft serve ice cream in a cake cone. I usually prefer all vanilla but will go for an occasional twist. Which is both vanilla and chocolate twisted together.

The sugar cone is another tasty cone. I prefer to use it for the ice cream that you scoop. Usually just one scoop does the trick but a double and triple are possibilities. The great thing is you explore some by doing different flavors with each scoop.

Last we have the waffle cone. I love the area that is usually available in a waffle cone. I tend to use it for frozen yogurt. It taste so good in this cone and you use a spoon to eat it. Waffle cones are the one cone you can make sundaes in. The options are unlimited on what you can fill them up with. You have to be careful with the waffle cone because you don't want your filling everywhere. Only eat the cone when your topping fall down far enough.

That's it for this weeks edition of Ice Cream Creations. I would love to hear your thoughts and answers below. Also if your up to a challenge you could use these questions and share some of your ice cream photos. One last thing before I go. "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream." 🍨🍦

Sort:

I like milkshakes, but my favourite ice cream flavours are rum raisin and pistachio.
Fav brand is Häagen Dazs. It's pricy but I like to treat myself to it if I'm in a supermarket and they have flavours that I like.😋

Rum raisin I haven't tried that sounds good. Pistachio is definitely favorable.

Oh Häagen Dazs is indeed good. I love thier ice cream bars one of the best in my opinion. You got me thinking of those individual pint size containers now. I will go between Häagen Dazs and Ben & Jerry.

Thanks for stopping by and joining in on the fun 🍨🍦

I like Ben & Jerry's too, but I seldom see that one in shops.
It's my pleasure to be a part of your community🍦🍨😋

Definitely chocolate first, then vanilla for me. I don't have any cones or waffles at home because normally o forget to have them and they go soft. So it's straight on th e bowl for me. Yummy!

I agree with the cones, the same for me. You have to use them fairly quickly.

My younger self would scoop a cereal bowl of ice cream now I control myself to smaller dishes and bowls, haha.

Take care and thanks for dropping by 🍨🍦🍫

Now I'm craving for ice cream🤤. Top three flavors would be double dutch, ube and coffee crumble. We have icecream packed individually in cones. I prefer those just to satisfy the craving.

I have tried ube but never for an ice cream flavor. I imagine it would be good.I love eating ice cream in a cone.

Vanilla and coffee for me!!!

Vanilla is usually by a landslide by most. It would be a 2nd for me. Oh coffee is good in a cold creamy form 😋 I make coffee pops by adding creamer and freezing them in molds.
