Greetings ice cream lovers friends, I have not tasted a delicious ice cream for weeks, I have been in constant movement doing errands and I do not stop to savor a creamy ice cream, although I have passed in front of countless businesses, but to savor it you have to be in complete relaxation. And these days, being at home, calm and relaxed, it came to my mind to eat an ice cream cake. A cake, which is often given as a gift to birthday boys and girls for a special day, and I, as an ice cream lover, have always wanted to try it. In our country it is common to get it in bakeries, very tasty and well decorated, as it is a trend.

Refrescante Torta Helada de Limón y Naranja
Saludo amigos amantes de los helados, tengo semanas que no pruebo un rico helado, he estado en constante movimiento haciendo diligencias y no me detengo a saborear un helado cremoso, a pesar de que he pasado por el frente de infinidades negocios, pero para saborearlo hay que estar en completo relax. Y en estos días, estando en casa en calma y bien relajada, se me vino a la mente comer una torta helada. Una torta, que muchas veces son obsequiadas a los cumpleañeros por ser un día especial, y yo, como amante de los helados, siempre he querido probar. En nuestro país es común conseguirla en las pastelerías, bien sabrosas y bien decoradas, ya que es una tendencia.
Thinking about that ice cream cake, I said to myself: I have my milk cream, some fruits, cookies, gelatin and other products, all in small quantities, and I could experiment with making an ice cream cake, that would please my palate, in the way I want and the flavor I like. With this good vibe I set out to experiment. Some time ago I took a culinary course and there I learned many things, for example, how to work with gelatin, how to make sponge cakes and some types of sweets that are combined with creams. Applying these techniques, I set out to make my ice cream cake.
Pensando en esa torta helada, me dije: tengo mi crema de leche, algunas frutas, galletas, gelatina y otros productos, todo en cantidades pequeñas, y pudiera experimentar hacer un pastel helado, que me atosigue el paladar, de la forma que yo quiera y el sabor que me agrade. Con esta buena vibra me dispuse a experimentar. Hace algún tiempo hice un curso culinario y ahí aprendí muchas cosas, por ejemplo, cómo trabajar con la gelatina, cómo hacer bizcochos y algunos tipos de dulces que se combinan con cremas. Aplicando estas técnicas, me propuse a realizar mi pastel helado.

En la preparación del helado, del punto segundo hasta el cuarto no pude mostrarle la crema, pues se fue varias veces la luz, y tuve que continuar la preparación, a la velocidad de la luz jajaja, tomando unas que otras fotos, pero se las detallo muy bien para que la entiendan. Hoy pude repetir la acción de una parte de la preparación y tomar algunas imágenes.Pido disculpas, son casos fortuitos.
The ingredients I used were as follows:
- 2 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin
- ½ liter of hot and cold water
- 3 lemons
- 2 oranges
- Sugar as needed
- Condensed milk
- Strawberries (optional)
- 100 g Milk cream
- Lemon jelly
- 1 package of cookies (Maria or any other).
Los ingredientes que utilicé fueron los siguientes:
- 2 cucharadas de gelatina sin sabor
- ½ litro de agua caliente y aparte fría
- 3 limones
- 2 naranjas
- Azúcar la necesaria
- Leche condensada
- Fresas (opcional)
- 100 g Crema de leche
- Gelatina de limón
- 1 paquete de galletas (María o cualquier otra).
Preparation of Decorated Gelatin
Ordering my ideas, first of all, I took two tablespoons of unflavored gelatin and poured it into a bowl with 3 tablespoons of water while stirring. I left it for about 10 minutes until it hydrated. After this time I add half a cup of hot water to melt the gelatin. At the same time I add the juice of half a lemon and 50 g of sugar, stirring, and set aside.
Preparación Gelatina Decorada
Ordenando mis ideas, en primer lugar, tomé dos cucharadas de gelatina sin sabor y la vertí en un recipiente con 3 cucharadas de agua removiendo. La dejé por unos 10 minutos mientras hasta que se hidrate. Pasado este tiempo le agrego media taza de agua caliente para que se derrita la gelatina. Al mismo tiempo le agrego el zumo de medio limón y 50 g de azúcar, vamos removiendo, y reservamos.

Segundo: en una olla coloque media taza de agua y dos cucharadas de azúcar, tome una naranja, previamente lavada y la pique en rodajas muy finas, las coloque en la olla, monte a fuego lento hasta que se hiciera caramelo lentamente, luego apague el fuego y reserve hasta que tenga temperatura normal. (Esto es con el fin de comernos la naranja con su corteza y no tenga sabor amargo).

Third: Take a mold previously greased with oil and place the orange slices, strawberries and garnish as desired, pour the gelatin without covering the fruits, to prevent them from floating, put it in the refrigerator for about ten minutes, then take it out of the refrigerator and pour the rest of the gelatin, introducing it back into the refrigerator.
Tercero: Tomamos un molde previamente engrasado con aceite y colocamos las rodajas de naranja, las fresas y adornamos a nuestro gusto, vertemos la gelatina sin cubrir las frutas, para evitar que floten, la metemos en la nevera por unos diez minutos, luego la sacamos del refrigerador y le vertemos el resto de la gelatina, produciéndola otra vez al refrigerador.
Ice Cream Preparation
First place a tablespoon of lemon gelatin in a small container and add ½ cup of hot water, stir to melt, add the juice of one lemon and set aside.
Preparación del Helado
Primero colocamos en un envase pequeño una cucharada de gelatina de limón y le agregamos ½ taza de agua caliente, removemos para que se derrita, le agregamos el zumo de un limón, reservamos.
Second: put the milk cream in the blender, add the condensed milk and the reserved gelatin and cream very well. Then pour into a container and put it in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes, on low.
Segundo: colocamos en la licuadora la crema de leche, le agregamos la leche condensada y la gelatina que teníamos reservada y cremamos muy bien. Luego vaciamos en un recipiente y lo metemos en la nevera por una unos 20 a 30 minutos, en la parte baja.
Third: place four tablespoons of condensed milk in a bowl, add 3 tablespoons of water, the juice of one lemon and the juice of half an orange, stir and place the cookies in the bowl to moisten, set aside.
Tercero: en un recipiente colocamos cuatro cucharadas de leche condensada, le agregamos 3 cucharadas de agua, el jugo de un limón y el jugo de media naranja, removemos y metemos las galletas para que se humedezcan, reservamos.
Fourth: take the gelatin and the ice cream out of the refrigerator, pour half of the mixture into the gelatin and place the desired amount of cookies on top in two layers, then pour the remaining mixture and place a layer of cookies again. Cover and put it in the freezer for eight hours or leave it overnight until the next day.
Cuarto: sacamos de la nevera la gelatina y la crema del helado, procedemos a vaciar la mitad de la mezcla, en la gelatina y colocamos encima la cantidad de galletas deseadas en dos capas, luego vertemos la mezcla restante y le colocamos, nuevamente una capa de galletas. Tapamos y lo metemos en el freezer por ocho horas o lo dejamos el resto de la noche hasta el otro día.
Final result: Remove from the freezer. To unmold, dip the mold in warm water for a few seconds, and shake lightly until it loosens. Turn out onto a platter, chop, serve and enjoy. If there are any doubts, I am at your service.
Resultado final: Sacamos del freezer. Para desmoldar, metemos el molde en agua tibia por unos cuantos segundos, y movemos ligeramente hasta que se afloje. Volteamos en un platón, picamos, servimos y lo disfrutamos.Si hay dudas, estoy a la orden.

I've never attempted to make an ice cream cake. I've also never had an ice cream cake quite like this one. The ones I have had were mostly ice cream and have had real settle layers. I want to try this one it looks absolutely delicious and is very creative which I'm starting to believe is your middle name, jaja.
