This is a personal matter. Someone killed my brother. I don't like that. If the police can't take care of it, then I'll bury my dead

Here's a story of organized blackmail that leads into a chain of murders. If you are/were a JHC fan you would agree that he's held his reputation of being a wonderful mystery writer and confirms it further in this novel. I've always enjoyed his writing since childhood and how he effortlessly brings his stories to life. I mean, you read a book and not have even one bad review to make about it!
The story starts off with the death of Roy English, the younger brother to the protagonist, Nick English, a successful business man.
Then progresses to show us that Roy's death was not suicidal as claimed, but in fact a murder. Hence English goes on a search for his brother's killer and unearths some gory details involving him.
Chase takes us on an adventure with this mystery novel of setups, dirty cops, murders, a touch of romance and so much more.
This crime thriller gives you the chills and is indeed a page turner.

Thumbs up:
It is a fast paced novel. Each chapter just leaves your heart racing, especially when it gets to a murder scene.
Also, I slowly warmed up to the Nick English character..
Thumbs down:
The murders seem to pile up into one another, hence makes it seem a bit gory.
Rating:
All in all, it's a fantastic read guys
Cheers😊

You made me curious about this. This tends to be the sort of crime thriller I gravitate towards. Now tell me it’s a noir as well and I will have to start looking for this and even prioritize it in my reading queue.
Despite being a Harlequin book and not a comic as I initially thought and would have expected in the Geekz community.
Definitely worth prioritizing...
Ohh my! I found the geekz community and guess I didn't blink before posting my mystery novel here, heh
Would have comics in mind next time tho..
Cheers😊
