I'm pleased to be posting for the first time in this community, about which I've heard so many lovely and positive things. So today I decided to publish my first post, entirely dedicated to kitties, and in my particular case, to my beautiful Chumi.
I'd like to tell you that my kitty is a calico, very dear to us in the family. She's our faithful companion. She's been here at home since December 1, 2018, meaning she's been with us for 6 years, 3 months, and 3 weeks. Let me tell you, at first I wasn't too keen on the idea of having a pet, but as the days and months went by, that little "ball of fur," as I like to call it, stole all of our hearts, and today I feel very happy that Chumi has come into our lives.
Over the years, she has given birth to four kittens, usually in litters of three. Her first litter was when she was almost two years old, but it didn't happen, and the kittens died, which filled us with great sadness at such a sad loss. Soon after, she had her second litter of kittens. This one was a magnificent one, with a variety of beautiful kittens, and it didn't take long for the neighbors to fall in love with them and ask to adopt them, showering them with love and affection.
The last litter of beautiful kittens was also three, and some of my sister's students became attached to them, and within a few days, they were gone as well. But not before our dear Chumi had provided them with the care and attention that mother cats usually provide their young.
After that, she was spayed and neutered in April 2022, which is almost 3 years now. So all our love and affection have gone to her alone, which makes my sister and I, who are currently living with her, very happy.
A veterinarian told us that cats have a life expectancy of approximately 15 years, but I hope our Chumi lives much longer than that so she can continue to fill our lives with kitty mischief and colorful love... We love you Chumiiiiiiiiiii ❤️.

Ella en estos años ha tenido 4 partos, generalmente con camadas de 3 gatitos, el primer parto lo tuvo casi cumpliendo los 2 añitos, pero ese parto no se le dió y los gatitos murieron, cosa que nos lleno mucho de tristeza, por tan lamentable perdida. Luego al poco tiempo tuvo su segunda camada de gatitos, esa se dió en todo su esplendor con gatitos lindos muy variaditos ellos, y no tardaron los vecinos en enamorarse de ellos y pedirlos para adoptarlos y darles mucho amor y cariño.
La última camada de lindos gatitos también fueron 3, y esta algunos estudiantes de mi hermana se encariñaron con ellos y a los pocos días ya también se habían ido, no sin antes nuestra querida Chumi haberles proporcionado los cuidados y atenciones que estas madres felinas suelen proporcionarles a sus crias.
Ya luego de eso, vino la esterilización, la cual tuvo lugar en abril del 2022, es decir ya casi 3 años, por lo que todo nuestro amor y cariño se ha volcado hacia ella sola, lo cual nos complace mucho, tanto a mi hermana y a mi, que somos los que actualmente convivimos con ella.
Una veterinaria nos dijo que los gatos tienen una esperanza de vida de unos 15 años aproximadamente, pero ojalá que nuestra Chumi dure mucho más de eso para que siga llenando nuestras vidas de travesuras gatunas y de colorido amor...Te queremos Chumiiiiiiiiiiii ❤️.

That's sad... Losing newborn kittens is as saddening as losing the grown ones. We already experienced losing one before, and upon reading how many kittens you've lost, I can't imagine how painful it was for you. Even though they just stayed with us for just short period, we can't really deny how we can easily get emotionally attached to them. Btw, thanks for sharing—and Chumi's really cuteee (he lowkey looks like my grandma's cat hehe) :3

¡Qué hermosa es Chumi! Es una gatita calico donde predomina el color blanco, pocas michi calico he visto así por aquí, en mi ciudad es mas frecuente ver calicos con mayor cantidad de color negro o caramelo; Chumi es muy muy hermosa, le deseo una larga y saludable vida, amé mucho leerte porque se nota que la quieren mucho y está en un hogar bendecido donde la han protegido y amado, a ella y sus bebés, y saber que está esterilizada pues aún mejor!
