Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
Welcome to the weekend! We're having a sunny but breezy Saturday around here, but the main reason for celebrating this day is — as always — that Saturday means Caturday!

We are all very fond of this old Internet tradition of posting picture of cats on Saturday... something people have been doing for 20+ years now!
Of course, it helps to have have Hoomans who are always taking pictures of the cats... and who are willing to help us create our blog posts!
All is going pretty well in our little world; the Hoomans continue to work away at "organizing" their lives, and we cats use that as an opportunity to see how many different boxes we can get into!
It's fun to see the Hooman reaction when they expect to find "stuff" but instead find a cat!
Overall, I think they're making pretty good progress, but there is still a very long way to go! I'm not sure how I feel about having to learn a new house... but I know the Hoomans will do whatever they can to make the transition easy for us, and it's still over a year away!
Shangri — who was always the more nervous and skittish of our newcomers — seems to finally have relaxed fully into his new home, and has gone from being the cat that often would run and hide under things to being the cat that has the most unusual and ridiculous sleeping positions!
He particularly enjoys being in the cat bed next to the Dad-Hooman's office desk, where he "reclines" a lot!

We're all just happy that he is doing so well.
As part of the growing up process, he has actually gotten to be quite a large cat who is now both taller and longer than Shadow (Curator Cat) and outweighs him by a couple of pounds. And he's not even a year old yet!
We are not entirely sure when our young cats were born, but according to the shelter records, it would seem that their birthday is probably around the second week of April.

Meanwhile, smudge is getting to that point in spring where her very thick and woolly winter coat is starting to fall out in big clumps.
She will lose much of that winter coat naturally, but will also have to be helped along by the mom human giving her a shave. We like to wait we're doing that till it gets a little bit warmer so she doesn't get cold.

Trying not to pay much attention to what is happening in the Cryptosphere because it all seems very unstable and nervous making these days.
I remind myself that we are doing this as a long term project, and not to worry about the short term volatilities. I am choosing to just focus on my primary goal of reaching 6,000 Hive Power before the end of 2025. Will we make it? Time will tell!
