Curator Cat: It Was the Caturday Before Christmas!

in Caturday8 hours ago

Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

It's hard to believe, but it is almost Christmas and that makes this Saturday (today) the final Caturday before the big holiday!

Smudge is camped out by the Christmas tree!

Except for the above one with Smudge, we sadly don't have any cat photos by the Christmas tree, but we certainly have no shortage of other pictures from this week!

The Son-Hooman and Daughter-Hooman have now arrived from Seattle for the weekend, so there is a lot of activity in the house!

Today, the Hoomans are actually celebrating something they are calling "Solstice;" as the Dad-Hooman explains it, it means that we are now heading back towards "more sunny spots season," which makes me very happy.

Shangri and Nala are a little bit nervous about it all... this is not only their first Christmas, but also the first time they have experienced "house guests."

Nala is the more curious and adventurous of the two, coming out to see what is going on, and what the commotion is about.

Shangri is very shy and hesitant, however... and has mostly been hiding. We're not entirely sure what happened to him as a kitten, so we just make sure to offer him a safe and loving space!

The Hooman kids are only staying for a couple of days before heading back to their jobs in Seattle, so we are just going to enjoy their company this weekend.

However, the Hoomans have a different set of friends coming to visit for Christmas day. I am happy for all of them, because it will mean extra treats!

During the week after Christmas, the Dad-Hooman and I will get down to make some plans and set from goals for Curator Cat in 2025!

For now, though, we are just going to enjoy family, friends and lots of good food and treats!

I've almost grown too weary to comment on the gyrations of the Cryptosphere... seems like we're eternally swinging between hope and depression.

I've pretty much had enough of worrying about any of it, so I guess I will just ignore it all! Besides, I'm in it for the long game... not a trader!

Well, I hope you have all had a wonderful Caturday, and Solstice! I appreciate you coming to visit, and look forward to seeing you again soon!

=^..^=

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communities!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!

Let's face it. The Caturday before Christmas is not a good time to be a mouse.

Perhaps Caturday this is the reason why the mice were not stirring in the poem.
