Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
It's time for another Caturday update because — as all good "cat parents" know — Saturday means Caturday!
What IS that stuff?
I hope this past week has been treating everyone well!
Around here, it suddenly got cold and earlier this week it started snowing quite a bit. This was somewhat unexpected, as the winter had been uncommonly mild this year. Certainly makes me very happy to be a comfortable indoor cat!
This looked different, yesterday...
After it had been snowing for a few hours, it suddenly occurred to us all that this would be the first time Shangri and Nala had even seen snow!
After all, they were born in April or May of 2024, long after the last snows had melted.
Sure makes birdwatching a lot easier!
Neither of them seemed particularly impressed, although that nice white background made bird watching a whole lot more entertaining!
So they definitely did spend a lot more time in front of the windows!
In general, everyone is doing well around here!
I know that stuff. It's COLD!
Both Hoomans have been working quite a lot, but decided to "take the weekend off," more or less. I'm not sure exactly what that means, aside from the Mom-Hooman sitting in front of the TV a lot more than usual, which means there's a blanketed lap available for napping!
Every now and then, the Mom-Hooman turns on a channels with a "fish game" for cats as well as bird and wildlife videos. It keeps the young cats fascinated, but I have long since decided it's all a hoax, because none of the birds ever go outside the brightly lit rectangular box!
I'm far too adult to be fooled by such things!
However, if it keeps those young ones entertained, who am I to shatter their illusion?
Nala even likes to hang out with the Mom-Hooman when she is playing one of her "games" on the small tablet!
Evidently, Nala finds this fascinating!
In between, I took a little time away from the TV to go help the Dad-Hooman when he would get to working on his art/painting project.
I feel it is my responsibility to help out and supervise... otherwise the work might not get completed appropriately!
I don't know why the Dad-Hooman doesn't want me closer when he works...
Although he doesn't often say so, I do believe he secretly appreciates my efforts! After all, everything is better with a cat!
Tomorrow promises to be another lazy day around here, with the Hoomans waiting for the Superb Owl to come on the TV. I'm not sure how I feel about owls, but I guess they'll keep things under control!

I remember when my cat see snow for the first time it's start freezing but ended loving it and jumping in it easily.
Some cats really do seem to like the snow. Ours, not so much... they have become comfortable housecats!
