Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
We have arrived at the first weekend in the month of February, and with that also at the first Caturday in the month of February — Happy Caturday everyone!

We're having a rather quiet weekend this time around, because the Mom-Hooman and the Son-Hooman left together yesterday afternoon to head back to Seattle to visit the by now very pregnant Daughter-Hooman.
We hope they're doing OK over there because the weather has called for a little bit of snow to fall.

We might get a few snowflakes over here on our side of the water as well, but not until later tonight. It is times like these that make me feel very grateful to be a pampered indoor cat with a warm house and snuggly beds for nap time!
We know the Mom-Hooman is thinking about us though, because she sent a text and a picture of some new cat toys she had picked up while she was shopping with the Daughter-Hooman!
I think those would be a lot of fun, if attached to the end of a "cat fishing pole," as the Dad-Hooman has made, several times.
I wonder if they are catnip flavored?
Meanwhile, the Dad-Hooman has been trying to work on his artwork photography this afternoon, and I have been supervising as I like to do. After a while he gave up on that, and now he's working in his home office instead, putting things for sale on this thing he calls ”eBay.”
It seems like a rather silly thing to spend your Caturday with, but he assures me that when those things actually sell it means we're more able to buy cat treats. And that's a good enough excuse for me... although I tend to think that I'll believe it when I see it!
So now we have a new month! I wonder what is in store for us?
I want my morning snack!
Sadly, January wasn't much of anything, but I did reach one of my long-time Hive goals when my Hive Power passed 5,000 for the first time.
Since we're not really Crypto traders around here, all the volatility in the markets didn't have too much impact on our world.
Even cats sometimes need some vegetables!
The Dad-Hooman brought home a couple of small post of cat grass from the market, and that was very welcome with all of us!
It's wintertime, and even cats need to have their "green stuff" on a regular basis... and it also keeps us less interested in nibbling on the houseplants, which really annoys the Mom-Hooman!
I am perfectly innocent, thank you!
Otherwise, there's not a lot happening in out little corner of the world, so I guess I'd better get this post published while there is still a little bit of Caturday left!
That's part of the fun of living on the US west coast... we get around to doing pretty much everything much later than the rest of the world.

Larry tried cat grass aka wheat grass and didn't like it. My old cat when she used to be able to go outside, was always chewing on crabgrass. So I've been digging clumps of crabgrass and bringing it inside. The hairball barfing stops as long as the crabgrass survives.
But now the ground is frozen solid and covered in snow and no crabgrass is available. So hairball barfing has resumed. I think next year I need to collect crabgrass seed and be able to start it during the winter for him.
They like the Wheatgrass as long as it stays fresh... which means — with watering — it is good for about a week... but they really prefer something from the great outdoors...

We did have a few snowflakes today, but it did not stay on the ground... and we are happy for that!
