Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Well, this Caturday is almost over now, but better late than never!

Who ARE these Hoomans in our house?

Part of the reason why we are running so late today is that the Hoomans had visitors today... something that has been a pretty rare occurrence for the past couple of years — for obvious reasons!

I'm not all that fond of strangers in the house, although these Hoomans were not entirely strange to me.

Smudge Has a Special Visitor!

Smudge had a visitor today: Her former Mom-Hooman — who otherwise now lives in the Dominican Republic — was back in the US for a few days to tie up some loose business ends, and she came out for a visit because she is friends with the Hoomans!

Smudge did what any good cat does in situations like this... studiously ignored the visitor!

Of course, that didn't last the entire day... towards the end of the visit, Smudge came out of hiding to assure her former Hooman that she was happy and being well taken care of!

And all was well... and overall, the day was a success. I chose to spend most of the day seeking out sunny spots and napping... away from the commotion!

War Worries

We have all been a bit on edge around here, for the past 10 days. Even though we are physically far removed from the war zone, it remains a worry and "distraction" around here. It's difficult to not be thinking about the millions of people made homeless by this horrible event.

We feel for the displaced people and their pets; all those making the difficult choice between getting out and becoming a refugee, or staying at their homes... but at great risk.

Yes, I really DO participate in the creation of my blog posts!

It just all seems so horrible!

Sometimes I think Hoomans can be really irrational and stupid! But I shall not dwell on that... but I will send prayers for peace to all those in harm's way!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
