Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
We have arrived at the weekend once again, and you all know what that means: it's Caturday, my favorite day of the week!
There's a bird out there! Right THERE!
It was a very stormy autumn day outside, and we cats spent a lot of time by the windows watching things fly by. And I'm not just talking about birds here, I'm talking about leaves and branches and other debris brought up by the wind.
Earlier, there was a Stellar’s Jay that was brave enough to sit on the railing to the deck right outside the window and we were all rather furious about that.
There it goes...
The Dad-Hooman was outside a little bit ago to take the garbage to the garage, and noticed that the wind is really causing some damage. Here's a picture he took of the branch that's down in our driveway!
The car didn't get a scratch...
It is at times like this that I am really grateful that I am an indoor cat who lives in a warm cushy home with Hoomans who love me!
It is rather quiet around the house this weekend because the Mom-Hooman has gone to visit a girlfriend of hers clear over on the other side of our state. She's going to be gone for a whole week so the Dad-Hooman is doing his best to keep us all entertained and paid attention to.
What are we going to do, today?
It is at a time like this that I am discovering that it really is a good thing to have extra kittens in the house because we all keep each other entertained when there is not enough Hooman to go around!
Our young cats have been a little bit nervous about all the stormy weather and the sounds of branches falling on the roof and wind going by that sounds a little like a cat hissing... I don't think they've ever experienced that before because they were born during summer when things are very quiet around here.
Nala, finding a bit of comfort with Uncle Shadow
However I'm setting an example by being very quiet and simply finding a way to my bed and taking a good long nap.
The Dad-Hooman has been grumbling again about "the cost of cat food" and "how much Kitty litter we go through" but what did he expect? We now have four cats instead of two so that's pretty simple math, even for a cat.
A moment of peace...
However I promised to (willingly!) look extra cute for the pictures and urged the kittens to do the same so that people would leave us nice upvotes and that would help fund the cat food! Or, at least, make the blog grow a little faster.
No, I'm not begging for anything! And we're actually doing just fine... the Dad-Hooman was just having a moment of uncertainty!
Shangri, always curious!
Today, the Dad-Hooman was working on his art projects which is one of my favorite things because I can get up there and stand in the middle of it... and supervise! I tried to teach the kittens how to be helpful with Hooman projects as well! They're quick learners so I'm not too worried about it!
Smudge — who is a Norwegian Forest Cat for the most part — has been growing in her winter coat and has pretty much assumed her "Roly Poly furball" appearance ahead of winter.
Her Royal Floofyness, Smudge!
She is rather remarkable for her general health and alertness for a cat who is almost 20, and it will not be long before we celebrate the 3rd anniversary of her coming to live with us, when her former Hooman mom moved out of the country.
But now I hear the kittens running through the house's having another bout of late night crazy Kitty hours so I think I will go join them!
Dinnertime!
I do appreciate you stopping by our little cat blog here and we hope to see you again! With so many cats in the house there are always cat photos to be taken! If you have cats of your own, or feline friends in your life, why not take some pictures of them and share them each Saturday as part of the Caturday tradition?
Thanks for visiting and I hope you had a wonderful Caturday and look forward to a great Sunday!

The kittens have grown much bigger very fast! They look very handsome and lovely. Glad to see all the cats having a nice time together.
Hope the windy weather had passed and things se getting quiet and calming for the cats.
Twenty is a great age for a cat. She looks pretty good for all that.
