Personally, I don't think there are not enough cats in my corner of Canada. Feral and strays are rare around the Vancouver region. The pet population is highly regulated, any pedigree breeding are for those licensed entities, each cat must have certain vaccines and medical at specific ages and documented, etc etc etc. And it almost sounds that they get better medical than humans. Anyways it gets pretty expensive making sure the kitty you bring home is healthy, happy and not going around making other kittens on there own. Frankly, I think it's a money making racket here. What ever happen to the days I get a call from a friend that is offering free kitties and just to pick one and bring it home?
I'd think too that combined with the regulation it would be difficult for cats to live in a Canadian winter? I'm in northern Ohio and here it gets too cold for animals sometimes even 😂 Finding kittens or knowing someone who has some is the bomb though, even if you can't take one at the time, kitten pics are always welcome 🙌
