Cats created by an algorithm

in Caturday2 years ago

There has been a big marketing campaign of so-called Artificial Intelligence called ChatGPT. It is actually an advanced algorithm created to make people think it helps them, but actually it gathers information about people, who use it.

Since it basically belongs to M$ corporation, their search engine has become even more one-sided, what comes to available information. So it is a program censoring certain points of view along with scientific research, or wrongthink.

There has been a similar image creation application way before, called Stable Diffusion. No need to give emails or phone numbers, and one can even program their own through the API.

Since having quite poor artistic skills, it is fun to play with algorithms, even when they make some weird artefacts. It speeds up creating new UI:s with some modern frameworks, like Nuxt 3.

It is interesting, how it can mimic certain artists and styles. Living in the hometown of Pablo Ruiz Picasso, there are many similarities to the original painter. Surely human imagination is way ahead of mathematical calculations still.

Now when it is the coldest time of the year here, there has been a lot of time to try different coding languages. Usually I visit the local stray cats with some food, but luckily there are other people dedicated for it daily.

A combination of my favourite food and animal is quite hilarious, even though I have not seen either for some time now. Getting too caught up in coding and lazy for walking has some downsides too.

Since my catography hobby has been on hold, due the mask mandates on public transport, there has been a lot of time to plan some new platforms for maximizing freedom and creating communities.
