Hola a todos mis colegas felinos. Mi nombre es Ikki y soy un gato de color negro. Y aunque mis padres humanos no tienen inconveniente con el color de mi pelaje, siempre se lamentan de que en el interior de nuestro nido, no se logre apreciar la belleza de mi pelaje. Y es que, no los culpo, la belleza gatuna es difícil de capturar, incluso para las más tecnológicas de sus feas cámaras. Como sea, hay días en que entra un poco de iluminación y si son lo suficientemente cautelosos, mis humanos podrán tomarme alguna fotografía sin que yo llegue a molestarme tanto (porque odio las cámaras 🙄).
Hello to all my feline colleagues. My name is Ikki and I am a black cat. And although my human parents have no problem with the color of my fur, they always complain that inside our nest, the beauty of my fur is not appreciated. And, I don't blame them, cat beauty is difficult to capture, even for the most technological of their ugly cameras. Anyway, there are days when a little bit of lighting comes in and if they are careful enough, my humans will be able to take a picture of me without me getting so upset (because I hate cameras 🙄).
Cuando los veo acercarse con intenciones de fotografiarme, por lo general suelo alejarme. Pero hay veces en que la posición en la que estoy, es muy cómoda o simplemente, me da flojera alejarme. Así que los dejo hacer lo que quieran, aunque, no es mi culpa que mi rostro demuestre el fastidio que me genere la cercanía de sus aparatos electrónicos. Por suerte, el humano no activó la luz que siempre me molesta en los ojos, así que mi desprecio no es tan grande.
When I see them approaching with the intention of photographing me, I usually walk away. But there are times when the position I'm in is very comfortable or I'm simply too lazy to walk away. So I let them do what they want, although it is not my fault that my face shows the annoyance that the proximity of their electronic devices generates. Fortunately, the human did not activate the light that always bothers my eyes, so my contempt is not so great.
Hay ocasiones en que mi madre humana queda fascinada por el modo en que se ve mi boca en las fotografías. Ella dice que pareciera que tuviera la boca pintada, aunque, eso no tiene sentido... Bueno, tal vez esa región si es de un color un poco más claro y no hay tanto pelaje como en otras partes de mi cuerpo... pero no le encuentro motivos para hacer tanto alboroto. En cambio, cuando mi boca se ve muy remarcada en las fotos, los humanos se emocionan... Si que son bastante raros.
There are times when my human mother is fascinated by the way my mouth looks in photographs. She says it looks like my mouth is painted, though, that doesn't make sense... Well, maybe that region is a little lighter in color and there isn't as much fur as other parts of my body... but I see no reason to make such a fuss. On the other hand, when my mouth is very highlighted in the photos, humans get excited... They are quite rare.
También, dicen que pareciera que tengo una expresión asustadiza. Aunque sólo estoy en constante alerta, ustedes saben, como buen cuidador del nido. Creo que mi rostro se ve de esa forma por la falta de mis colmillos superiores. Si aún los tuviera, luciría más amenazante y pudiera morder a mis padres humanos mucho mejor cuando me canse de sus constantes acosos para fotografiarme.
Also, they say that I seem to have a scary expression. Although I'm just constantly on the alert, you know, like a good nest keeper. I think my face looks that way because of the lack of my upper fangs. If I still had them, I would look more menacing and would be able to bite my human parents much better when I get tired of their constant harassment to photograph me.
Pero bueno, basta de quejas y contemplemos mi pelaje. Se ve muchísimo mejor bajo los rayos del sol, pero ya saben... los humanos no me dejan salir y si me dejan, es con constante supervisión. Aunque últimamente ha llovido, así que los lugares en los que suelo revolcarme, están mojados... No me gusta eso para nada. Aunque debo admitir que los días con lluvia, son mucho más frescos y los humanos no buscan de tomar tantas fotografías porque no hay casi iluminación. Jum... lo difícil que es ser un gato 🙄

But hey, enough complaining and let's look at my fur. It looks so much better in the sun, but you know... humans don't let me out and if they do, it's with constant supervision. It's been raining lately though, so the places where I usually roll around are wet... I don't like that at all. Although I must admit that rainy days are much cooler and humans do not seek to take as many pictures because there is almost no lighting. Yum... how hard it is to be a cat 🙄
